Comments about Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA:

I use this right out of the shower, while skin is still wet. If you let your skin dry it will burn and irate your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin like mine. I had a dermatologist tell me that is how YOU should use it, because you are trapping the moisture under the lotion! I did it because I was lazy...LOL. I then put on my lotion and SUN SCREEN right after. you have to use sun screen with any hyrdoxy.

I almost don't want to leave a review for fear that the secret will get out and this product will cost $100 a bottle. I've read all the research and heard that certain doctor who has a show right before the Elllen show say how amazing gly colic acid is for aging skin. I am using this with a ulta gly colic cleanser and I don't have great skin to begin with, but strangers are coming up to me to tell me how great my skin looks.

Comments about Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA:

I was skeptical to try a product advertised for "dry skin," but after reading countless reviews about how it dries out oily skin or helps with adult acne, I decided to give it a try.

            Huge mistake.

I gave the product a full two-week trial, and am still dealing with the effects of it two weeks after that. I went from having a few minor blemishes on my T-zone to the WORST breakout I've ever had in 27 years, across the entire face. I'm still looking for a good anti-wrinkle product for Combination skin.

I've given the product two stars because I've been using it as an anti-cellulite cream on my legs and it is making them very smooth and soft. So, at least there's that?

I used to buy a bottle 1/4 the size for double the price from my Dermatologist. This product appears to be exactly the same. And the price is way better.

I am not impressed with this product. I read the reviews online and almost everyone had a positive review. This product burned my skin on my face and pealed it off. I looked like I had really bad sunburn.

Oh my gosh! I can't say enough about the Alpha Hydrox products!! I am completely in love with my skin now!! I started using the 10% Alpha Hydrox lotion and Alpha Hydrox cleanser a few months ago when I stumbled across them on sale at TJ Maxx. Best discovery ever!!! I am 34 and have struggled with adult acne for a few years now. I was also beginning to see the first signs of aging creep upon my face. I would always whine that I shouldn't have to worry about both wrinkles and zits at the same time! lol Thanks to these products, I don't have to anymore!! My face is COMPLETELY clear of zits and my fine lines are disappearing too!! I have tried NUMEROUS products and even professional treatments, but nothing has ever cleared my skin like this stuff has! My skin feels amazingly soft too!! It doesn't even feel like the same skin!! I wake up every morning rubbing my face in disbelief how incredible it feels! I will NEVER again buy any other products, only the the Alpha Hydrox brand! They are a God Send!

Comments about Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA:

Overall, this is an okay product for what it is. I would only reccommend this to dry skin people, that needs skin looking super perfect the day before a big event.

On the bottle it says that it is meant for dry skin types, so I wonder why I even purchased it?
But that aside, it is a great AHA lotion for dry skin types. If you have oily or even combination skin, this will make your skin even more oily so beware!

I had to return this product due to it not working for my skin type. Also, you should not use this everyday as the glycolic acid in the product sloughs off the dead skin cells off the top layer of your epidermis(top layer of your skin basically), and that can make your skin turn super sensitive to the sun and conditions in your environment.

I used this product too often and ended up with redness, darkening of the skin and oily skin. So if you are someone checking this out, I would not reccommend it, instead, I would exfoliate gently each day with a gentle facial wash and wash cloth.

The only time I would reccommend this product is if you have a big event the next day where you need your skin to look extra perfect, otherwise, skip this product. Prolonged use of glycolic acid can lead to super oily skin(which can cause acne and blackheads), it can also cause your skin to become red and sensitive and cause more wrinkles. This is because if you are removing the top layer of your skin to reveal baby smooth skin underneath, unless you are a celebrity and never, EVER go outside at ALL, then if you wear this and go outside, great damage will be taken upon your skin.

Hope this review helps someone, bottom line, do not use this product unless you have a super important event where you are going to be photographed at.

Comments about Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion 10% Glycolic AHA:

In the beginning, it was too drying so I had to use a thicker cream over it. Now, I have adjusted to it & can use it at night alone. It's winter time as I write this so it may be less drying in the summer. I found it to brighten my complexion & shrink my larger pores. Everything else is the same, no changes. Also, it only works if you use it. If you stop using it for a while, then the gained benefits decline.
