Comments about Parissa Warm Wax Kit:

I've used this product for years now, and it consistently gets the job done. The wax is quick to heat, easy to use, and is much cheaper than going to a salon for this service. Things to beware about:
1. Keep the product upright. The wax doesn't completely harden, so if it is resting on its side and is then openened, you've got a big mess on your hands.
2. Clear a space for when you're working with this stuff. I've spilled warmed wax twice and it makes a huge mess. IF you do spill, use the blue oil to wipe up as much as you can. I still have wax on my blow drier becuase I wasn't paying very much attention and spilled.
3. Don't rest your popsicle sticks on the wax container. I use a strip to rest it on while waxing because the container lid is usually sticky around the rim. Clean the sticks with the blue oil when you're done to resuse them next time.
4. If you make a mistake, say on your eyebrows, and get wax where you don't want to wax, don't panic. Wait a minute for the wax to cool and use the oil to wipe off. I've lost parts of eyebrows once or twice.
5. Don't wax the same area twice. It will rip the top layer of skin off and cause scabs.

Comments about Parissa Warm Wax Kit:

This was my first attempt with at-home hair removal. I used this product for my underarms where I have very course dark hair. I have had this area waxed professionally many times and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product provided very similar results! It did take two passes to remove all the hair, but that was mostly because it was difficult to see where I was applying the wax. The hairs that it did pull out were there root and all. I would highly recommend-if doing underarms-to use in front of a mirror and to have someone help you. It would have been very difficult (and likely painful) to have done this alone, since you need to pull the skin taut and pull the strip off simultaneously. I did not use the oil provided in the kit, but instead just used coconut oil and the residual wax came off just fine. My only complaint was that I had the kit in my bag on its side and when I opened it to peel off the protective seal (styrofoam-y) it was stuck to the wax and very difficult to remove. I ended up having to scrape off a lot of product just to remove the seal. Just store right side up for a while to get the wax to settle properly before opening.

    worst wax product ever

    By Silverraindropps

    from ChiTown

Comments about Parissa Warm Wax Kit:

I thought I'd try a new wax product so I purchased this one thinking it would be a great replacement. Instead I found the most ridiculously sticky product I've ever come across. I thought after I heated it up it would be better. Nope. it removed very few hair, the rest were still around but dripped in stickiness. The worst part was the next day I got a rash on the area I tried to wax. the oil that comes in the box helps with removing the stickiness but you need so much bc the wax gets everywhere because it sticks to everything. Back to Sally for me!

Comments about Parissa Warm Wax Kit:

This product is great and one purchase lasts a long time. When you factor in the cost of paying for waxing at salon, this provides the same quality and saves you considerable costs in the long run. As with anything practice makes perfect. The product assumes some level of knowledge to get the best results. Also it is not necessary to overheat this product to get the best results. READ the instructions and test the wax to ensure you don't burn yourself.

Comments about Parissa Warm Wax Kit:

I considered myself wax-stupid before buying this product because I had never had a professional wax done, nor tried one at home. I decided to look up which at home products I should use before going on vacation, and the Parissa warm wax kit came up on several websites - I was thrilled about the $12 price tag (I purchased mine at my local Ulta).
The wax warmed up to the perfect temperature in the microwave (1:20 seconds), and the hair strips have generous surface area. I would recommend using the least amount of wax as possible, as getting the extra off is tedious, and it hurts when it pulls on skin that you don't need hair removed on. My first try in my bikini area on my thigh went super smooth and grabbed every hair - you could even see the root - I was super impressed. Even though the first one went perfectly, I had a few instances where I had too much wax, or I didn't pull the strip fast enough, etc. but I got through it!
I would be lying if I said that the process wasn't painful. Although I was using it on a sensitive area, I would assume that if I did it on my legs that it would be a piece of cake.
My one con of this product is that the blue oil container that is included should be 10x the size that it is - I moved to olive oil to get the rest of the wax off my hands/unwanted areas when it ran out - and that was on my first use! :(
It has been a week and the hair in my bikini area that I used the wax on has still not returned, although I can feel mini bumps/potential hairs that will probably pop up here soon - I'm not complaining! I did have some bruising and redness for about 24 hours on the treated area, but I applied lotion to the and took an Advil, so I was comfortable.

This product didn't work at all for me. It was too messy to work with and hardly removed any hair at all. I'm planning to exchange this product for another brand.

Comments about Parissa Warm Wax Kit:

I used to use sugar wax mainly for its convenience, but also because it is supposedly less painful. I've tried other regular waxes in the past and found them very difficult to work with and keep contained to the area I was treating. The parissa wax is so easy to use, cleans up completely when using the oil that it comes with, and removes all of the hair without having to keep retreating the same area. Great product, will definitely repurchase
