Comments about Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Dark Spot Correcting:

I really like this cc cream. It is heavier but it provides long lasting coverage and i feel like it stays on my skin. I have tried several cc creams, but most are too greasy and swim on top of my skin. This one stays put!

I bought this product in hopes of a lightweight foundation alternative for the summer. I live in the Midwest where summers can be pretty brutal. First off, this cc cream smelt like straight sunscreen and the it made my skin insanely oily. By 11 am I would need to use an oil sheet to de-grease my face. I ended up returning this item and will not be re buying.

I went to Ulta looking for a light tinted moisturiser or something similar to use over summer - it's hot, it's muggy, I don't want too much of anything on my face. I was talked into this by someone I THOUGHT was an Ulta worker, but actually a Smashbox rep who wasn't about to recommend anything else.

It goes on relatively smoothly - a little goes a long way. I've used a brush, but find it does just go on better using my fingers. My skin looked nice, kind of "dewey" for a few hours... and then it all goes wrong. By about lunch time it's like this stuff starts to separate on my skin.. it goes weirdly blotchy, and looks more like it's floating ON my skin as opposed to blending into it. Not a great look.

I'll be returning this an hopefully finding someone actually impartial to help me my next time in the store.

I want a full coverage when I work in the evening. So decided to buy the CC cream.
Now, I know it has a primer in it, but, can I use a primer with it and a foundation?
And what is the ORDER in which a cc/bb cream can be used with primer & foundation?
I work in the entertainment industry and my foundation seems to disappear even when I use primer, powder and a setting spray.
Ugh...too frustrating. After I drive to work and look in mirror, I need to add powder, blush etc...

Because CC Cream has a built-in primer, we do not recommend using an additional primer; too much primer may cause a "pilling" (or flaking) effect. But you can absolutely use a foundation over CC Cream for additional coverage! CC Cream will help to extend the wear of any makeup you apply over top.

Both CC Cream and BB Cream feature oil control properties and are formulated for all skin types, so either would be a great choice for oily/combination skin! If dark spots/hyperpigmentation is a skin concern, we recommend CC Cream, as it will help to fade dark spots over time.
