Comments about Philosophy Hope In A Jar Night Intense Retexturizing Moisturizer:

I 31 years old and have struggled with hormonal acne around chin and forehead since my teens. I've been using Hope in a Jar Night for 5 months and am hooked. I've been able to stop wearing foundation and powder. I've had not a single breakout in five months. I've had fewer than 5 pimples at all in that time! I can't even find the words to describe how incredible that is for me. While the smell isnt great, I don't even notice it anymore and my husband said that it doesn't bother him , either. Great product. Worth the money!

Comments about Philosophy Hope In A Jar Night Intense Retexturizing Moisturizer:

It's a good moisturizer, but to me it's expensive. Compared to the Hope In A Jar, I can't really tell a difference. Plus with Hope In A Jar I can get it in a travel size for a lot less. All of the Philosophy line lasts so long that the travel size will last me for a year. So I don't see any sense in purchasing a larger size, I would probably have to throw some of it out after so long.

Comments about Philosophy Hope In A Jar Night Intense Retexturizing Moisturizer:

Great for winter dry skin. I have normal skin but this winter has been hard on my skin and I have been drier than normal, I needed a little extra moisture at night and this has done the trick. I wake up with supple moisturized skin. The only down side is I do not like how the product smells, it has a fairly unpleasant odor but it dissipates fairly quickly and it works well enough that it is not a deterrent for use.

Comments about Philosophy Hope In A Jar Night Intense Retexturizing Moisturizer:

I have never been sold on a product so quickly in my life. I'm 19 years old, and I have pretty good skin for my age, never more than a blemish or two per week. I wear makeup with little coverage. I have been a fan of Philosophy and used it almost exclusively for 2 years, including the Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash and Total Matteness products. In addition, I am always trying new products to get the most radiant skin possible. However, I had never tried the "Hope" products, because the promises of fine line reduction made it seem like they wouldn't be useful to me at my young age. Finally, the retexturing claim reeled me in and I bought this last night. I was a bit worried when I saw it was considerably thick, thinking it might make me break out. I was wrong. One use is all it took for me to wake up with absolutely glowing, perfectly balanced skin. I sent a picture of my "new skin" to my mother, best friend, and boyfriend before I even made it out of bed this morning, if that says anything. Also, the zit I had that had come to a head a mere 12 hours ago is almost GONE, which usually takes 3-5 days for me. This is my new holy grail :)

Comments about Philosophy Hope In A Jar Night Intense Retexturizing Moisturizer:

I have been using this philosophy face cream for years now. I am a budget shopper, always looking for the best deals, yet I will splurge on this cream whenever I run out. I will always buy this because when I first began using this cream, my face was dry with splotchy areas, and my face had an uneven tone to it. Within the first few weeks of using this product, I, along with everyone else could notice the huge difference. My skin is silky smooth now, and I have 0 issues with dryness, or uneven tones. This cream lasts for months at a time, so it's worth the buy!!

          • Q:

Being a natural girl, I've always used EVOO as a moisturizer and drunk lots of water I have never had a blemish.
I'd like to try something new. With great weight loss, I've gotten drier skin and it's less soft. Which is the better choice? I'm unwilling to deal with more than one product. my skin gets 3 minutes, that's it! I live at the beach, so salt air and water are issue. I'm not worried about wrinkles-I've happily earned each one!!!;)

What is the difference between Hope in a Jar Night Cream and Miracle Worker Overnight Age Resetting Moisturizer? I am 45 and have fine lines and dry skin that I'd like to find a product for. I am currently using the regular Miracle Worker Anti-Age Cream but it does not tackle my dry skin spots very well. What is your recommendation?

            1 answer

            • Brand Expert

              A:

hope in a jar intense retexturizing moisturizer will address the beginning signs of aging, including fine lines, rough texture, and large pores. miracle worker overnight age-resetting anti-wrinkle moisturizer will specifically target the lines & wrinkles caused by the internal aging process, helping your skin to function as it did when it was younger. the miracle worker overnight moisturizer will address the dryness you are experiencing, while also improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

          • Q:

In what way does this product retexturize the skin? I understand that it contains glycolic acid, an exfoliant, and that it helps with lines, but the product description claims that it smooths rough texture. I read the other questions and answers and it doesn't sound like this product will help acneic skin, which usually has a rough texture. I am looking for a product to help give me smoother skin. I have mild, albeit perpetual, acne, but I also have normal/dry skin that is too sensitive for salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide (even used sparingly causes excessive dryness and irritation), so I cannot use typical acne treatments.

              A:

Glycolic acid (an AHA) assists in cellular turnover, meaning it helps to slough away dead skin cells more quickly to reveal new skin cells and smoother skin.

Because this moisturizer provides exfoliation, if you use it during the day, please make sure to use a facial sunscreen with SPF 30 or more layered over it to protect your renewed skin from sun damage.

I have combination skin, but live in a humid climate. My skin is medium to tan complexion, but I burn in the sun and my skin is extremely sensitive. I break out even at 50 years old. Will this product help me? What about Hope in a Jar?

              A:

This product contains glycolic acid in a unique qusome delivery system that lessens the potential for irritation, making it safe to use on sensitive skin. This moisturizer primarily addresses skin texture and the signs of aging. If breakouts are your primary concern, we suggest Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer For Blemish Prone Skin (Item #: 2271931), which targets blemishes as well as the signs of aging:
