I have never been a make up fan. Approaching 65, I wanted something to brighten and even out the various skin tones on my face. This product is fabulous. Although it is pricy, it lasts 8 to 12 months. It is easy to use and does exactly as advertised. I wouldn't trade it for any other product.

Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

I've used this powder for about a year or two. It isn't cakey, it covers up my blemishes, I'm super pale and the porcelain perfectly matches my skin tone. It may have to be reapplied during the day but that's usual for powders. It's also pretty to look at, kinda looks like a planet

I would definitely buy this product again.

Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

I can use this in Fair or Medium. Medium is the color that will suit most skintones. For the longest time, Medium was the only color they had! Fortunately Laura Geller now caters to the fairest to the deepest of skintones.

As for the product itself it looks great on me but anyone using it will need a primer or moisturizer to help it bind to the skin. Applying it to dry, bare skin is just a waste. Not only will you need more, you won't get near the coverage. So applied properly it's a great product. With setting spray it lasts all day without color oxidation or streaking, even on my oily skin.

I also find this is one of the few foundations that doesn't irritate my skin. I use a prescription retinoid and am sensitive to many, many skin products.

I recommend this for anyone with sensitive, oily, and or normal skin as a great, long-lasting alternative to liquid foundation.

It's absolutely worth every penny. Used five days a week one compact lasts me almost two months and I use it to full coverage.

This is my new favorite make-up. It has good coverage without being cakey and the color blends well. I've already purchased a spare so I'm never without it. A bit on the spendy side but I think it's worth the splurge!

I currently wear Balance n Brighten in porcelain. I feel like it is a bit to light. The next shade up in fair has a little too much yellow in it. Could you please make a suggestion for me.

                            A:

Because of it's multi-pigmented swirls of color, even if the fair looks little too yellow, there are other colors in there that will counteract the yellow and color correct your natural skin tone. It self-adjusts and looks completely natural, so I would suggest giving the fair a try! You can also try our Spackle primer in Neutralizer which will add a gorgeous peach tint to the skin, so your sin tone will be neutralized and somewhat color corrected even before you apply the foundation. You can also add a pop of light pink blush to the cheeks if you aren't getting enough pink from the fair foundation. Overall, the fair should be perfect because it does contain so many shades that will naturally adapt with your skin tone.

Your best bet would be to choose the "fair". This product is extremely forgiving because of it's multi-pigmented swirls of color. So even if it's not quite the perfect match, it adapts to your skin tone and you'll never have that line of demarkation under your jawline. It's an amazing foundation and I think you'll be quite happy making the switch. Enjoy!

You nailed it- the medium does have some cooler undertones and the fair is more warm. Each shade is extremely forgiving, so if you simply choose one, it should work just fine. Perhaps just go with the fair and see what you think. I am a more neutral-medium but I personally like use the fair. It never makes me too light and it covers all the same. If you prefer to mix shades (which is totally fine), I would use the medium first and then the fair to brighten and add warmth. This product is so lightweight that it'll never look cakey, no matter how many layers you use. Good luck!

We do not offer this product with SPF. I always like to pair my balance-n-brighten with an under makeup primer (we call ours Spackle), and we currently make a Spackle that has SPF 30! Use the Spackle first for your SPF protection and for incredible anti-aging benefits, and then apply the Balance. The Spackle will also hold your makeup on and keep it looking fresh all day long. Enjoy!

Hello! Our Spackle Neutralizer brings your skin tone back to where it is supposed to be. It'll take yellow out of sallow skin, it'll take redness down, and it'll slightly start to color correct. I would recommend trying this Spackle and sticking with the Balance-n-Brighten in fair. It sounds like the medium is too dark, so by neutralizing the skin tone with this Spackle, the fair should work even better! You can also offset any of the yellow by adding some bronze-n-brighten in fair to your cheeks. This has a very pink/cool undertone and will add a gorgeous touch of color to your face.

This product is baked- so it absolutely will not be drying! Baked means, it starts it's life as a cream and is baked on terra cotta tiles for 24 hours and hardens to form a silky, smooth powder. This product (and all of our other baked powders) glide on the skin so smoothly and evenly, it's almost like you're applying a cream! They're highly pigmented but have this incredible lightweight look and feel. Also, the terra cotta tile helps the product retain moisture- so again, it will not be drying. One of my favorite products! Enjoy!

Yes! This is a color correcting foundation and also completely covers redness and any dark spots. It is buildable, so you may find that you need to apply multiple layers to reach the coverage you desire. I would also recommend using a brush that has sense brissels, this way it'll pick up more pigments and give more coverage. This is one of my favorite products, I know you're going to love it!
