Pretty Good Concealer

About Me Brand Buyer

Pros

  • Blends Well
  • Covers Well
  • Doesn't Clump
  • Doesn't Wear Off
  • Goes On Smoothly
  • Multipurpose

Cons

  • Settles In Creases

Best Uses

  • Age Spots
  • Broken Capillaries
  • Discoloration
  • Under Eyes

Comments about Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup:

I really like this concealer and my only complaint is that it settles into my fine lines under my eyes. My daughter uses it too and told me to let it set for a couple of minutes and pat out the product that settled into the lines. This technique works and it rarely settles into the lines again.

Not Worth the Money

By JAX

Pros

  • Blends Well
  • Easy To Apply
  • Goes On Smoothly

Cons

  • Doesn't Cover Well
  • Settles In Creases
  • Too Greasy

Best Uses

  • Blemishes
  • Broken Capillaries
  • Under Eyes

Comments about Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup:

Not a great concealer for combination to oily skin. This product is pretty greasy and doesn't last that long. There are plenty of other concealers that work just as well, even better, for half the price.

Comments about Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup:

I didn't find this coverage great at all. It is creamy and does have easy application, but if it's not covering my under-eye circles, what good is it?

      Hydrating? Yes, Crease-control? No

        Comments about Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup:

When the Benefit rep put this on me in the store, I don't know how she got it not to crease. But, she did spend a lot of time blending, blending, blending. The outside ring is clear and very hydrating, but there is more of that than the concealer itself. The ingredients in the hydration ring does not sink in, it sits on top of the skin causing the color of the concealer to crease immediately. The only person that this would be appropriate for is someone young without any creases and very dry skin. The hydrating ring would make a great overnight eye moisturizer.

        Comments about Benefit Cosmetics Fakeup:

I used this product under my eyes, and it did its job well enough.

I wasn't a big fan of the applicator, since it never covered the whole area in just one swipe, I ended having to use a brush to get in the corners and blend anyway.

It felt very moist, which was kinda gross. Overall, not really worth it for the price, I am much happier with a cheaper concealer.

        • Q:

Hi. I have acne and my acne tends to be dry and most concealers cling to the dryness. Would this be good for making my spots less dry? If it is not full coverage do u recommend using before a full coverage concealer? For example...applying fakeup and then apppling boing?

            A:

Fakeup features a hydrating ring of Vitamin E & apple seed extract to help relieve dryness. It provides natural looking coverage and can be layered underneath additional concealer such as Boi-ing for added coverage. To ensure smooth application, we recommend exfoliating your skin and using a primer prior to concealer such as The POREfessional.

I have oily skin and I recently bought this product. The t-zone of my face of my face is quite oily while the sides of my face that are not. I mainly bought this to cover up some of my spots, but if I were to put it on my under eyes would it make it look oily?

            A:

Though its formula is hydrating, Fakeup features a natural finish and won't leave skin feeling or looking greasy or oily. It is ideal to cover dark under eye circles, and it works great to cover up any other skin imperfections, too!

            A:

This product's intended use is as a concealer to hide dark circles and diffuse fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra-natural look. This product can be applied before or after foundation application. Stroke Fakeup underneath each eye. Using your ring finger, pat gently outward to blend. You can also use it to touch up throughout the day. This “double duty” hydrating & concealing formula won’t cake, crease or settle.
