These shadows are perfect. Some are shimmery and some are matte. I cannot believe this little compact offers such beautiful shades at such an affordable price :)
I have VERY pricey makeup as well and this compact is just a give-a way in comparison to other makeup brands. i used an eye primer FIRST and these shadows stayed on all day. Buy this one you will LOVE the colors...

I'm Cheep and not afraid to admit it, so when I saw this when I was browsing through ulta I thought why not, I like their jumbo eye pencils...Like it, it comes with many different colors and you can make soo many different looks with this palate. I will say that if your looking for really good pigmentation then you probably want to go somewhere else the pigmentation is okay, which works for me cause I like more neutral and natural looks, it doesn't last all day, trust me I work in a bakery and by the 3rd hour it was wearing off, but when I wore it with primer it stayed very well. Over all I would recommend this to a friend and tell them to grab a primer.

It's awesome and has all the colors I love! I almost always do a smokey eye with it. This is a great palette choice for a variety of things. I love how it has matte and glittery colors.

I;d been looking for a good, versatile neutral workhorse eye shadow palette and nearly bought another much more expensive one. Then I spotted this handsome collection and was hooked immerdiately! I also snapped up their pearl primer as well. I really love these shades! It's difficult to get a good combination of colors you will actually use. They go easily from day to night and I like that the deeper jewel shades are subtle and not so bright and dense. Just enough pigment to look interesting. Not crazy about the sponge applicators but that's an easy fix. For 15 bucks this one's a win-win deal and a steal!

I'm a dark skinned girl MAC NW 47 to be exact. I love this palette it's sleek so it fits in my purse and the mirror is very big which I love!!! The shades range from mattes to shimmery and they are all highly pigmented and go on smoothly. I create a look around 7 am and it lasts through 8 hours of work followed my an intense spin class (well most times through spin lol). The amount of product and quality for the price can't be beat. I did have one draw back my Ulta only received two of these palettes total so I felt guilty and didn't buy both. Really you only send two of a new palette? Other then that I'm a happy girl.

I had high hopes for this palette. I have used other NYX products and liked them, but this was my first, AND last pressed eye shadow purchase. I used a name brand "primer potion", this had no pigment hardly at all despite what it looks like in the package. I used one of the darkest shades with a pencil type brush to start at lash line and all I ended up with was fallout & brushed bigger than normal flakes on my inner eye and bridge of nose. Tried the greenish color top right corner as shadow on lid, and I could not get any color with it either. The glitter particles in the glitter shadows are way to big & irritating. Really this reminded me of a really cheap shadow little girls would play dress up with. I am returning it. The only reason it got 1 lippie is I had to give it at least 1 to do a review.

I was expecting more from my first NYX eyeshadow palette. Many of the dark colors despite appearing bold, pigmented, and sparkly actually all end up reading the same--a murky brown, even the green and the blue.

I will continue to use this set, but I have some figuring out to do as far as how to best use the bold colors that drew me to the palette in the first place.

I use the product for normal eyeshadow, though some colors don't pigment very well, if packed on they could double as a highlighter.

I chose this for the array of colors versus the price. I was not wanting to buy or have 20 different eye shadow containers, but I did want to venture into some bolder colors. This has turned into my only needed eye shadow kit. One suggestion is that you will want your own eyeshadow brushes. The applicators it comes with are like those you got with you princess set at 5 years old.
