Comments about Karina Bronze Tone Banana Clip:
I'm so happy about banana clips! As a child of the 80s with hair getting more waves by the year--I used to wear these all the time. Once the 90s hit..I had many curls flowing down my head throughout banana clips--yet my hair is somewhat straighter at the roots to first couple of inches. After receiving many compliments--I became a target for the trendy (ridiculously poofy, satin and velvet scrunchies were apparently what the look SHOULD be back then) and decided not to wear my banana clips anymore to spare my own feelings--even though I still thought my hair looked pretty.
So, I'm shopping for clips and found THIS! My hair is long and curly and I am pleased with how it looks in my banana clip! My husband noticed and gave me a nice compliment, too :)
I'm 33 years old and whether these are successfully coming back or not--I'm not a sensitive adolescent anymore. I happen to LIKE my hair in this clip (and I normally dislike my hair a lot--prolly dates back to mean kids! Just kidding :P
My ONLY complaint about this one is that is has a sort of "tail" that flips up on the bottom. It kind of annoys me but at the same time, I think it adds a little bit of body at the bottom where my hair might normally fall limp. I do have to readjust the clip throughout the day, but it's such a quick fix for my thick, very wavy hair. It hold-up well with my 15 month old trying to tug at it!
If you've missed banana clips all these years--buy it!! If you're a young person who is reliving those awkward (updated?) 80s trends...try one or don't...you'll do your own thing anyway as long as everyone else is doing it. ;)
Best for curly/wavy imo...but could work on straight hair. Might slip out of fine hair. Tip: LOTS of Aqua Net ;)
