I had to go to a salon and have my hair fixed after using this. It grabbed random places and turned them a weird color but not others.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

I have very fine, thin hair. This product made my hair so dry and nasty that I had to buy expensive conditioners, and even then it is still very dry and fly-away. I've had oil based color done in beauty shops with good results, but it is so expensive, so I thought I would give this a try. I doubt I will ever use it again.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

Why, oh why did I switch brands from my old reliable Superior Preference to this? Oh yeah, the pretty color and the promise of no ammonia...

Flash-forward to five minutes ago when I dried my hair after spending almost an hour in the shower trying to rinse until the water ran clean... and there's me, standing in front of the mirror, horrified at the the brown that is my natural hair color that is still showing through in places. Noticeable places. This has never happened before.

I thought I had covered everything. I did the same thing I always did before. I followed all the directions. It was all covered. However, this product was noticeably harder to spread this product through the rest of my hair due to the oily, sticky consistancy. It was like trying to spread honey through my hair. It was also every bit as difficult to rinse out as you would expect honey to be.

Advantage: not as messy as the runny Superior Preference since it doesn't get everywhere.

Disadvantage: Doesn't get everywhere. Not even when I want it to.

My hair also feels dry and damaged. This isn't normal either. Superior Preference never did this. So much for the benefit of all that oil.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find a brown paper bag to wear over my head until this fades out.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

I was prepared to love this hair color product. After all, I used other Garnier hair products and love them. The application process itself was great; there was no chemical smell, and it didn't drip. The problem is, it did not color my hair, not at all. My roots, my grays, all still there. It was like using a conditioning treatment and nothing else. I'm very disappointed with this product.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

Love this haircolor for the lift it provides..blonde and not too brassy on the roots.(I do use a purple toner shampoo once in awhile though if it gets to Yellow looking.)WORST thing-the packaging bottles!!! Horrible design and Not User friendly! Very Messy- and you have to cut open the hair color squeeze tube with scissors and scrape into applicator bottle in order to use up all the color. Awful oblong applicator bottle as well-too slippery and hard to hold.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

The colors are gorgeous, deep, and intense. Very rich, and vibrant. The smell isn't horrific either. The problem is it left my hair knotted, and dry. I had to deep condition 3 times before my hair felt normal. I have fine hair, but it is very healthy! I tried it, I liked it, but I will never use again. I used on my roots for 15, and then the ends for 5 minutes, and rinsed. I was glad that I did not do the entire head for the entire 25 minutes as directed. Color deposits rapidly.
