Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

Color I try is light gernet red. My hair color light brown. I was hoping this product will turn my brown hair to red. I mixed well from the instruction. Till the mixture turn deep red, orange color. I started putting color all my root first, then back of hair, all over. I had a lot color left over, I put all on back of my hair. Main problem is , i let it sit 30 min. And wash it out, till it run clear. i blow dry. only top of the head is red. back of my hair is brown. Hair color faded , for past couple days. Now i had to replace and fixed hair color with a different brand. This product work for some people hair , but not my hair.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

Product is very good. It covers gray hair and I can find a color that fairly closely matches my own. First few days after I color, my hair is a little darker than I like it to be. The next 3 weeks I like the color, and the last week of color, my hair turns a little too rusty looking for my liking. However, compared to the other products that I've tried, it keeps my hair in the zone of color that I like for the longest time.

I have light ashy brown hair and this dye did nothing to my hair. I bought it to go a shade lighter, but after leaving it for 40 mins no change was seen in color.

I have been using this product since it came out. I like that it doesn't seem to damage my hair or make it fall out like other dyes. I also like that Olia has a soft black instead of just a bold black. It is much more flattering on my skin tone.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

I have very fine, thin hair. This product made my hair so dry and nasty that I had to buy expensive conditioners, and even then it is still very dry and fly-away. I've had oil based color done in beauty shops with good results, but it is so expensive, so I thought I would give this a try. I doubt I will ever use it again.

Comments about Garnier Olia Oil-Powered Permanent Color:

Why, oh why did I switch brands from my old reliable Superior Preference to this? Oh yeah, the pretty color and the promise of no ammonia...

Flash-forward to five minutes ago when I dried my hair after spending almost an hour in the shower trying to rinse until the water ran clean... and there's me, standing in front of the mirror, horrified at the the brown that is my natural hair color that is still showing through in places. Noticeable places. This has never happened before.

I thought I had covered everything. I did the same thing I always did before. I followed all the directions. It was all covered. However, this product was noticeably harder to spread this product through the rest of my hair due to the oily, sticky consistancy. It was like trying to spread honey through my hair. It was also every bit as difficult to rinse out as you would expect honey to be.

Advantage: not as messy as the runny Superior Preference since it doesn't get everywhere.

Disadvantage: Doesn't get everywhere. Not even when I want it to.

My hair also feels dry and damaged. This isn't normal either. Superior Preference never did this. So much for the benefit of all that oil.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find a brown paper bag to wear over my head until this fades out.

I was prepared to love this hair color product. After all, I used other Garnier hair products and love them. The application process itself was great; there was no chemical smell, and it didn't drip. The problem is, it did not color my hair, not at all. My roots, my grays, all still there. It was like using a conditioning treatment and nothing else. I'm very disappointed with this product.
