I really like using this cleanser as a mask (that's when my skin feels the cleanest and freshest). However, for daily use I feel like my skin doesn't get as clean as it could. I blame this on the overdrying of mainstream products. I like this product because it combines two important aspects within the cleanser: lactic acid and a balanced pH.

I LOVED this the first week I started using it then things took a turn the second week. My skin felt very irritated and I developed terrible acne on both sides of my face/cheeks. I have never had an issue with acne and my skin was always clear with the occasional hormonal pimple. I read that the AHA can cause skin to purge when first using it. My skin never looked and felt so bad. I just couldn't wait it out and had to stop using it immediately. Also, one day it was very hot out and I was driving with the sun beaming down on me and my face turned red and itchy. The aha (alpha hydroxy acid) is harsh and does not do well in the sun. If you like the sun, be careful using this product. I'm really disappointed because my skin felt so clean and fresh when I initially started to use it, even gave me a slight glow, never did I think in a million years it would cause me such a bad reaction. I would think twice of using this product if you have sensitive skin like mine. I wish they would take the AHA out then maybe people with sensitive skin would not have such a bad reaction.

I have to say as a daily gentle face wash I will stick to Philosopy's Purity, but for a mini refresher, or for use as an in between my weekly mask, or peel, I will use this instead, and leave it on for 5 minutes. It leaves my skin soft, and smooth with a glow. I once answered the phone while it was on, and left it on a few minutes longer, and I can advise do NOT do that. I never felt a sting, or a burn until I had rinsed my face...my red face.

Gentle enough for my sensitive skin but still works hard enough to truly cleanse my skin.

I have only used this product for approx 2 weeks, so far I like it! Gentle and leaves skin soft!

My skin is oily, sensitive, and acne prone. I deal with hormonal acne and rosacea so it's almost always a mess. I was skeptical if this would even work for me, but so many things have been tearing up my skin so I decided to splurge a little. I am so glad I did! My skin felt instantly smoother and the redness was greatly diminished. Despite it being "that time" to break out, I have managed to keep my skin under control better than I have in years.

This product cost more than I wanted to spend but well worth it. With just two washes and one 5 minute mask I noticed a huge difference in my skin. It was brighter in appearance and looked more even.

I've used Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash daily in the morning for years. I thought I'd give this a try and I didn't feel that it did as much as the exfoliating wash did. I will continue to use the exfolilating wash in the future.

I have sensitive skin but this product didn't cause any problems AND has excellent exfoliating benefits!
