Comments about Hot Tools Crimson Fade Turbo Ionic Salon Dryer:

Handle so thin, current so strong I may have been electricuted. The light weight might have been nice but it wasnt. Dries out the hair quicker than it dries the hair. Not a good purchase.

Comments about Hot Tools Crimson Fade Turbo Ionic Salon Dryer:

Worked great for a while, but after about a year the high/low setting got stuck on high and now it runs very loud, vibrates, and smells. I'm disappointed the product didn't last longer.

Comments about Hot Tools Crimson Fade Turbo Ionic Salon Dryer:

I have short hair so my hair stylist said I need 'Heat, sista, heat!' when choosing a blow dryer. I really do like this one. My only complaint is the extra long cord always gets tangled despite how carefully I put it away. Maybe better for a salon usage?

This hair dryer is not only great looking, but runs extremely quiet and comes with a salon length cord (i.e., 7 foot). The high heat setting puts out a very nice stream of HOT air.

Comments about Hot Tools Crimson Fade Turbo Ionic Salon Dryer:

Bought this back in October 2014. Last week, I noticed that my hair was looking a little fried and realized that no matter which heat setting I put this on, it was always blowing super hot air. Then yesterday, it started sputtering to a slow death. Couldn't regulate the heat, couldn't regulate how fast it was blowing air. Terrible. Hoping I just got a lemon.

I didn't like the cool down button. I didn't think it got cool enough.
But the main reason I returned was the switches. They went left to right rather than up and down. I simply did not like it.

Comments about Hot Tools Crimson Fade Turbo Ionic Salon Dryer:

My hair is very thick, coarse, and wavy so I need lots of heat to tame it. I bought this to replace another, cheaper, Hot Tools dryer that I didn't think got hot enough. This dryer delivers on the heat but remarkably the dryer itself does not get too hot on the outside. Worth the extra money.

                        A:

No, this dryer is not dual voltage. It operates at standard US voltage 110V.

                        A:

There is no ceramic in the dryer. However, ceramic only has an effect on the hair when it comes in contact with the hair. Since dryers produce air that touches the hair, a dryer would not be more productive with ceramic inside.

what is the difference between the crimson fade and the harlequin models?
Asked on 8/6/2014 by sheryl from tampa,fl

                        A:

The real difference is that the Diamond Harlequin Dryer has two additional features. One to dial up or down the amount of ions that are generated by the dryer (more is better for long, thick hair, less is better for short, fine hair). Also, the Diamond Harlequin Dryer has a turbo boost feature that adds additional air velocity when pushed. Other than those two points of difference, they are both Ionic Salon Professional dryers.
