Bought this product for the obvious reasons. It does waterproof your mascara quite well. The downside for me was enough to stop using all together! My contacts felt so horrible by noon that I wanted to rip them out. I went a few days to see if it was just me or my lenses, however when I stopped using this product my issue was gone. Sad because the waterproofing and the way it goes on clear were great. The smell is bad but goes away when it dries.

My Mom told me I HAD to get this stuff, so I was a good daughter and decided to listen to my Mama. This is great to put over a favorite mascara when you want a little more staying power for a hot day or teary event. It removes easily but still stays put all day. This is a clear product, so you can use it with any color or formula of mascara. It can feel a bit sticky before it dries, but I'm liking this overall. A good buy.

I've been searching for the perfect water proof mascara forever. Now I can use my favorite mascara and make it waterproof. So much easier!

Do not buy this product. I returned it after i used it. The brush is great but you don't have enough time to work with it before it starts drying and turning frosty looking. JUST GET A WATERPROOF MASCARA INSTEAD. Feels like Elmer's glue.

This product smells EXACTLY like gasoline. The odor is strong, and I smelled it as soon as I pulled the wand out even though it wasn't close to my nose then. The smell is unfortunate because it does make mascara more waterproof--not completely but it definitely makes a difference--and it really does dry clear. Normally I would forgive an otherwise good product for not smelling that great, but this is extreme.

We ride Harleys and I have been hunting a waterproof mascara that lengthens well and lasts all day. They don't exist! Enter Raincoat. I get my favorite mascara AND now it's waterproof and lasts through whatever the ride brings! Awesome!

This works really well with my mascara - Benefit "They're Real". It's easy to apply because it's clear, so I don't really worry about making a mess. It actually helps with the clumps too. This definitely makes my mascara waterproof because the other week I was crying for about 3 hours and it stayed put!

I also have really hooded eyelids, and this prevents the mascara from sticking to my brow bone and leaving marks.

This product doesn't work at all. My mascara still smudged and ran as if I never put it on. Also, in the ingredients it lists propylene glycol which is best known as antifreeze. I don't want to put antifreeze on my sensitive eyes!

Would not recommend. Waste of money.

I have short straight lashes that need a series of light crimps with the eyelash curler. I prefer the "tube" masacaras like L'Oreal Beauty Tubes and Fiberwig for their durability, but since they are water-based, they relax any curl I have set in. I've tried various waterproof black mascaras as a base, but most are too thick. I bought Ulta Raincoat to use as a waterproof primer, and it solves this problem perfectly. Good separation, dries quickly, and since it's clear, you don't have to worry about covering every speck of primer. Works great with both brands of lash tubes. I'll be stockpiling this one!
