These are good quality sponges and I will not buy the less expensive ones because they don't work as well to smooth on liquid makeup.

I was having to use more liquid foundation once I switched to this sponge. I eventually just stopped using them all together. Overall it was a smooth even finish.

I use round sponges to apply my semi-creamy compact foundation. I like to dampen them for lighter coverage or use dry when I want heavier coverage. I find round sponges give me much better control in applying and blending my foundation than wedges.
I don't know what the exact composition of this sponge is (cotton vs. latex etc) but I was thrilled to find this brand (so I may be a brand buyer!!! in this case) as I have has trouble in recent years finding round sponges that weren't too smooth/slick on the surface. It made the foundation just smear around on my face instead of covering evenly. These on the other hand have the slightest amount of 'tooth' for want of a better term - they take my foundation and absorb it just enough, then releases it back onto my face! Hard to describe but important in use!!!
My only complaint it that I've only found these in 2-packs. I want a 20-50 pack so I can save some money! LOL!
