Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush:

I love the way a good makeup brush can make your skin feel pampered and this one does the trick. It blends evenly and smoothly. The only downfall is that it is a bit bulky, takes up a lot of room in a small makeup bag for a short weekend get away.

When applying the product to the brush be sure to use a SMALL amount, otherwise the foundation will look a little caked.

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush:

I had been using the UD Naked Foundation for awhile before deciding to buy this brush. I've been wearing makeup for years, but last year decided to start using more prestige products. I didn't know how to properly use the brush at first, so it sat in my vanity for awhile. Now I'm on my 4th bottle of Naked foundation, and I finally learned how to properly use the brush, and WOW! What a difference in how smooth my skin looks! I naturally have patches of discoloration due to scars, blemishes, etc and using the foundation along with this brush makes my skin look great. My mother and husband have both commented on how much better my skin looks.

      Really does blur away imperfections.

      By Lex

      from Naples, FL

Comments about Urban Decay Cosmetics Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush:

I love this brush. I use it with the UD Naked Skin foundation, shade .5, and it is simply amazing. I have a lot of redness in my skin and some mild acne scarring, but this brush blends beautifully. I also use it to blend my BECCA shimmering skin perfector on my cheeks, but I know they mainly created the brush for use with the Naked Foundation. Nonetheless, it works brilliantly. I would definitely recommend this!

Is this brush somewhat like the bare minerals soft focus brush?
            Asked on 12/13/2014 by Jackie

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

Similar to the Soft Focus Face Brush from bareMinerals, Good Karma features full, rounded, tapered bristles. Both are synthetic bristle hair material. Good Karma's bristles are more densely packed for firmer, fuller application. Good Karma can also be used to apply both liquid/cream and powder formulas, while Soft Focus is designed for powder formulas only. We hope this info helps!

Do you regulary clean the brush and if so how do I clean it??

              A:

We recommend cleaning your brush weekly using brush shampoo or a mild hair shampoo and water. Massage lather gently through the bristles underneath running water until clean, then allow to fully dry before next use. You can also spray in between uses with brush cleaner to keep your brush clean between weekly shampoos (recommended for acne-prone skin).

I'm a new customer with Naked Skin Urban Decay. I would like to use a brush instead of the sponge to apply my pressed finishing powder if it
can be done? What brush do you recommend? Thank you in advance for your advice.

              A:

You can certainly use a brush instead of the included applicator sponge to apply UD Naked Skin Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powder. If you prefer fuller application of your powder, you can use Urban Decay Cosmetics Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush. For best lighter coverage application, we recommend using a large, full, fluffy powder brush.

Is this product compatible with the new BareSkin by bareminerals? The sales associate told me that bareskin only worked with the new perfecting face brush by bareminerals and if I didn't use it I'd have a big mess. However, I've heard great things about this brush.

              A:

We recommend using bareMinerals Perfecting Face Brush (Item #: 2272522), designed specifically to use with bareSkin Foundation, for best results, though you can certainly apply using a another foundation brush like this one! Its full, plush bristles should work well.

Since, unlike Perfecting Face Brush, this brush doesn't feature a reservoir, you may have the best luck with application by applying bareSkin Foundation directly to the face using your fingers, then using this brush to buff and blend it to a flawless finish. Experiment and see what works best for you!

              A:

Urban Decay created this brush specifically for Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, but it works beautifully with ANY liquid, cream, or powder foundation, including bareMinerals! The soft, dense bristles allow you to apply, buff and "blur" your makeup to a totally flawless finish.
