I love this set! The colors are fun and bright and the designs you can make are easy and cute. This kit comes with 3 polishes, a wedged sponge, a dotting tool, and black polish with a fine tip for detailing. My favorite is the fade effect. Its easy to apply and I get compliments on it all the time. I also like to use the black polish to make zebra print or stripes. The design possibilities are endless.

I love red carpet gel manicure. Got the professional set for xmas and just recently purchased this add on set. The fade look is easy to do and looks great. This stuff lasts until I take it off with no chips. By the way..i use regular acetone and cut my own foil for removal, works just as well and saves money. I also use regular rubbing alcohol instead of the Purify. I haven't been to the nail salon since i got this, although the cost is high initially, it pays for itself within 3 manicures if you get gel manicures regularly.

I bought this kit mainly because I really liked the three colors that were included in the kit. At the time of purchase ulta had an instore promotion to get a free bottle of color with the purchase of a kit. in addition I had a $5 coupon. I got 4 bottles of color for a great price! The directions for the fade effect manicure are easy to follow and they turn out great.The dotting tool is great bonus item to. My daughter (11) has asked me to use it to give her a "lady bug" manicure. I have had great success with all red carpet manicure products. I change the color after about 2 weeks due to grow out. I have never had my nails chip in that amount of time.

I wear gel nails often. I have a UV light as well. You can not apply the thin lines or do the smudging, because the nail is so sticky. What I have found is that you need to apply your base coat and complete all steps. Then, go back and add decorative stuff. Then apply foundation and top coat to cure in the decorative stuff. Good idea but the steps they have just don;t work at all. I returned this product.

Overall this kit exceeds my expectations. The colors are nice and bright with good pigmentation; perfect for summer. The black art paint and brush are one unit. They are similar to a nail polish but the brush is a fine tipped one. The bottle size is comparable to the polish if not larger. The sponge is a typical makeup sponge and the dotting pen seems to be of good quality. It is two sided with a pointy tip and a ball tip. The appliques are small black flower nail stickers and have ~48 stickers. The instructions are clear and conscise and include steps for both the designs shows on the box (the fade and splatter effect).

You must have the starter kit with the light in order to use this. You get 3 bottles of polish in red, hot pink, and teal. You also get a bottle of black "striping" nail polish. It's a great value. The looks are a lot of fun! You can use any/all of the gel colors you have to create different combinations.
