You have to take your time with applying this, but it is so worth it! I have had many gel manicures done and this turned out as good! Wow! The Red Carpet product is amazing!

I had the same problem with the strips that everyone else seems to have, so I just gave up on them and used this polish with my old technique - the same one that nail techs use. Just paint the tip free hand, then dip a brush in acetone and create your nice clean smile line by erasing where you don't want the white. Cure, then repeat, because you do have to use thin coats. Once you get the hang of it, it looks exactly like what you could have gotten in a salon.
On another note, is it just me or are the pink and beige polishes effectually clear? Even with multiple coats I can't get any color out of them.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure French Manicure Kit:
The French manicure is difficult to do on yourself even with the guides. I had a hard time getting good coverage with the White Hot while trying to use thin coats. Maybe more practice will help.

It says 1 coat of white polish for tips. Can barely see it. Very runny and seeps down past the french tip guides.....so disappointed. It was for my daughter's 12th birthday. :(

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure French Manicure Kit:
Very difficult to apply. The sticker guides didn't work. The nail polish is very runny due to LED activated drying and so it doesn't apply like regular nail polish. Keep this in mind when attempting to paint the tips. use very little polish or it will seep onto skin easily.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure French Manicure Kit:
Terrible. I've given myself french manicures for years. I didn't expect this to be much different. I followed the directions exactly and even watched a video online. Bled through the guides. Had to remove it looked so bad. Returned to store and was given the run around for the return. Usually very impressed with Ulta...this time bad product and horrible customer service upon return.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure French Manicure Kit:
I will be bringing this back to the store. When I applied the white, it went on very thin and watery. When applying a second coat you get a ridge above the base coat. The box has three kinds of guides and I have only seen one used so would rather have had all of the round ones.
I bought the full kit for my daughter as a christmas gift and she had the same issue as I did.

Comments about Red Carpet Manicure French Manicure Kit:
Finally a product that I can do myself without the big ticket price from salons. Prep time was quick and easy. I had no problem with bleeds. I think what appears to be bleeds is from the brush strokes. I used a smaller brush from a craft store rather than the brush from the polish. I first applied the white polish across the nail, then followed up with a 2nd coat from cuticle to the end of nail. I had no bleeds. Take your time, you may even need a 3rd coat of the white polish.
My only con is that I wish they would sell the appliques separately, I'll run out of those quickly. The look was very professional.
