Comments about Almay Wake Up Eyeshadow:
I liked it. It went on smooth and the color was nice. Even with the primer it wore off pretty easily and that was just from sitting around at home. Might need to bring it along if your using it for a typical 8hr work day. Other than that, the price is worth it and it didn't irritate my skin or eyes.

Comments about Almay Wake Up Eyeshadow:
I haven't worn much makeup in my life so I was a little unsure of what to pick, but chose Almay because I have sensitive skin and wear contacts. I liked this particular eyeshadow because i thought having the primer included was a neat addition. I went with the "exhilarate" because I liked the purple and brown and I have brown eyes. This case is extremely easy to use and no extra brushes are needed. I combined it with the wake up collection's highlighter and eyeliner stick matching this eyeshadow and some Almay mascara to finish the look, and it really defined my eyes. Everything goes on smoothly and lasts through the night. I was also amazed by this eyeshadow because I actually forgot I was wearing make up, which is surprising to me since I don't normally wear make up because it irritates me nonstop. I was very pleased with Almay and the wake up collection.

Comments about Almay Wake Up Eyeshadow:
I got this palette in "Invigorate". I'm impressed with this product considering the price; I frequently use Urban Decay primer and eyeshadow, so that's what I'm comparing it to, which isn't entirely fair given the price difference, but just so you know my point of reference. The Almay colors are not as finely milled (soft, silky feeling) and not as pigmented. On the plus side, the colors in this particular palette (beige, charcoal, vivid violet) are quite pretty, if too sparkly for a corporate job. As a side note, the instructions for application are laughably bad, or at least made me look much older than my 34 years, and I'm pretty adept at makeup. When I applied the colors in a more reasonable way, they look lovely and a bit "rock star" (with a touch of eyeliner, too).
I HIGHLY recommend using the two dark colors wet, both to avoid fallout and to get more vividness out of the extremely pretty violet color. I mean, if you like violet, this may be worth buying for that color alone!
I am pleasantly surprised that the Almay primer not only doesn't irritate my eyes (unlike Urban Decay), it also works well with the Almay shadows in that it doesn't seem to crease even after a full day of wear.
Sometimes this has to do with compatibility of products, so I'll tell you what else I use: After my shower and putting in contacts, I put on an Algenist face cream (with sunscreen), including on my eyelids, and when I do my foundation, a light bit of mineral foundation (Ulta brand) gets dusted around my eyes. Then I used the Almay primer, which in this case is white and glow-y (I'm fair-skinned), and then the shadows. I'm going to try the Almay primer with some other shadows (e.g. Urban decay, matte Bare Minerals shadows) to see how it works... I hope Almay extends this line with some matte offerings... Oh, also, no problems with irritation or fallout on my contacts. Anyway, good buy, fun to experiment, and I may try another set!

Comments about Almay Wake Up Eyeshadow:
I bought this because it had a primer. But primer didn't work well as my eyelid continued to be oily and eyeshadow creased.

Comments about Almay Wake Up Eyeshadow:
I love the colors, and having the base in the same compact, but is very very sparkly and is very fine sparkle so is all over your face by the end of the day.
