I was curious about this foundation because it has SPF 20 and I try to get all the SPF I can in my sun-drenched climate. I prefer "matte" finishes, and "long-wearing" foundations but they are the hardest to use over sunscreens and primers, and they rarely have decent sunscreen. Wake-up Make-up does give me a "glow" - not a "matte" finish, but it's not a greasy or "shiny" finish. It's actually very natural-looking. Sand is the darkest shade this comes in, and, frankly, it's probably a little bit too light for my NC25 skin, especially now that warmer weather is approaching. This foundation lasts longer on my face than I would have to reapply if using for sunscreen, and if I'm not having an oily day or perspiring I get several hours wear, easily. I've read some reviews that say this is glittery...possibly the shimmer is in the lighter shades? I had lasix surgery in 2002 and I've had 20/20 vision ever since, but I don't see any glitter, even when I put this on the back of my hand to search for the glitter. There is no glitter, shimmer, or sparkly stuff in mine (shade Sand). I keep checking outside, inside, in different rooms, (because I can't stand the look of glitter on my face), but I just don't see any. If it's there, it doesn't show up on my skin, so it's not a problem for me. This makeup has a nice, soothing, cooling feeling when it's applied which feels great. I would have rated this with 5 stars for performance, cost, great packaging, fragrance-free, and sunscreen, if it came in darker shades. This would be a wonderful summer makeup, but I get darker no matter how much sunscreen I use. Perhaps if used with a bronzing primer this shade would work. I am very impressed with how natural and skin-like this foundation appears. It's not masky, cakey, or blotchy. Great formulation.

This is one of the better liquid make-ups that I've used for foundation, typically I use minearal makeup (e.g. BareMinerals or the Ulta knockoff). It covers ok but not as well as Garnier BB cream. It isn't super heavy or super light, I'd recommend it for medium coverage only. It also does not leave a matte finish, I use a finishing powder over this product always.

I've used the expensive trendy brands in the past. I can buy this product for a quarter of the price with about the same result.

I purchased this in the sand color. When I first apply this to my face it feels cool and makes my skin feel refreshed. This product does not feel heavy and I do not have any oily spots throughout the day. I break out with a lot of different types of makeup. I haven't had any problems with this one.

Just started using - looking for very light feeling daily makeup and liked what I've read. Have used for only about a week and so far so good. At end of day seems to still be in place and does not feel like I have "makeup" on - very 'natural' feel.

I love this makeup. I'm very fairskinned and most makeup looks orange or streaky on me, even expensive brands. Not this one. It's perfect.
