I have naturally wavy hair, long in length. This brush grips nicely in at the roots to pull hair nice and smooth when you want to have the sleek blown-out look. Love it, large size is nice for creating a nice roll-under effect at the bottom of my hair.

This brush might work well on thinner/finer hair, but it did not work on my thick/naturally curly hair. My hair kept getting caught in the bristles and it didn't smooth it at all.

I was looking for a round brush with longer bristles to volumize my hair and lift the roots. I like the combination of boar and ionic bristles. I think that together they work towards my goal. I think boar bristles fluff the hair and ionic ones smooth it.
