Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

I use it at least once a day, but no more than two or three times because I have tried pure tea tree oil before and it can become a little irritating. It felt nice though, and helped with my acne. :)

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

I use this along with the facial wash and toner and so far I didn't have any new pimples.
It's great under make up for me cos my face gets oily throughout the day and this helps with that since it is non-greasy.
The problem I had is that I mainly bought this because it promised to fade acne marks/blemishes and I am well on my 2nd bottle but hasn't seen an improvement. I'm only using it cos so far my acne has stopped or at least slowed down but it isn't effective in removing my acne marks. It's been more than 6 months. :(

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

I love Tea Tree oil and have used it for years. I was hoping that this "moisturizer" would give me T.T.O benefits plus much-needed hydration. It doesn't. It doesn't do anything bad to my skin, it's just nowhere near enough moisture for my dry-ish skin. In fact, my skin feels dryer after I use it. However, I would think that this would be an excellent choice for oily skin that is breakout prone. Be aware that this has a very strong T.T.O scent.

I have extremely oily skin, and so far this is the only product I've found that works for me! I use this along with Pure Argan Oil mixed in and it makes for a great moisturizer leaving my skin shine free.

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

This really is the only product that works for my skin. I have tried dozens of these oil control lotions and they either don't work at all or only work for an hour or so. This lasts all day, isn't overly drying and isn't sticky in the slightest. I'm on my third tube. I hope they never discontinue.

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

I've been under a lot of stress lately and my skin has been showing it: breakouts, dullness, lines, etc. I tried this on a whim and I'm very fond of it. To be clear, this is not a deep moisturizer. It's more like a skin tightener (but not in that uncomfortable chemical way). I usually use this at night after exfoliating my face. This first time I used it I literally watched my wrinkles fade a little. This lotion really tightens up the skin making it look vibrant again. My breakouts also started clearing up (though not completely). It can be a little drying if you already have dry skin, but it's great for normal-oily.

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

I was skeptical about this product until after using it for 2 nights my oil slick of a forehead became normal. This is the only product that has worked and kept the oil away. The only draw back is that you can't use this as a moisturizer as at night and in the morning because it will dry your face out to the point it hurts. So if you pick one time a day and stick to it the results will be fantastic! I can't wait to try the other products from this line.

This product is okay. The smell is really gross and its way too drying. Yes its supposed to clear blemishes and skin but it makes my skin so dry.

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

although the formula of this product is quite nice, it's definitely way way wayyy too drying. it's almost like a toner in a soft gel/lotion like form. because of this I find it too harsh. it does give the skin a "smooth" feeling but it doesn't give it that suppleness and hydration I expect from moisturizers. I also find the strong scent and the ingredients used to create that scent a little troubling for use on the face.

Comments about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion:

I love this product! I used to have normal skin and then all of a sudden I had an oil slick for a forehead and T zone and had to use blotting papers like 3 times in an 8 hr period. After trying many products (some more expensive than others), I finally found something that that not only clears my face up but keeps my forehead oil free and now I only have to blot once a day. I am going to be trying more of the products that the body shop has to offer.

                    • Q:

I've read reviews about this product over-drying skin, but that's obviously on a person to person basis. I am interested in this product, but my face does have a tendency to become dry, especially when I've used acne-specific moisturizers.

My concern is, if I use this product alone, if it will over-dry my skin. So, it is possible to mix it with another moisturizer or lotion to prevent any sort of over-drying of my skin?
