I have tried it with a powder brush, that I own, and the sponge applicator that it comes with and a powder brush works best. The sponge is for full coverage. It lasts all day and keeps my shine away. It doesn't feel heavy, it's just right. I love this product. Perfect for travel or everyday wear. Great as a powder or a foundation!

This is a nice foundation. It goes on well with the sponge for full coverage or a brush for lighter coverage. It blends well and lasts pretty long. Unlike a lot of matte powders it dosen't make my face look powdery, it has a more natural finish. It does rud off on things but I have that problem with every brand I've ever had.

I've repurchased this product about 4 times already. I love it, I think it's better then MAC natural skin finish. That made me break out:( but NYX I love. I used it to set my foundation, its even great on its own.

This compact only lasts me about 2 weeks tops; that's my only complaint. (Other brands around a month.) Keep in mind I do wear makeup every day and I like a matte, line-free doll-like finish. This makeup stays put, soaks up oil, doesn't fade, and the shade "warm beige" is a great color match to my very yellow-based N35 skin tone. It also does not make me break out, which is something I've had a problem with in some high-end brands of foundation.

I love this powder! I purchased it along with the NYX HD foundation in shade 06 and have been using the two together. I usually use my MAC Studio Fix Powder for a matte finish or my Maybelline Fit Me powder for a luminous finish but this foundation somehow does both while providing good coverage. It's my new favorite.
When I use this powder in combination with the NYX HD foundation is has the perfect finish and controls my oil very well. This product is buildable but I just lightly dust it over my face.

I am a first time Nyx user and I love this compact! I usually use MAC but got tried of how my oily skin would make it melt of by the end of the day and the expensive price. The Nyx brand has solved all of those problems. It has great coverage and stays matte. Love it!
