Comments about Butter London Nail Lacquer:

I have always wanted to try Butter nail polish, but never have before now because, really, the normal price for ONE smaller bottle of nail polish (compared to similar brands like OPI and Essie, if you notice, their bottles are slightly larger) is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I noticed it on sale so I bought three bottles. So far, I am unimpressed. I painted my nails at around 8pm and had chips the next morning when I got to work (within 12 hours, and in that time I slept and showered, no hard labor or doing anything rough on the nails). I used a bonder as a base coat, and my favorite top coat by Sally Hanson. Pretty pathetic that such an expensive product doesn't work any better than the cheap brands. I would expect something that costs so much to be better than it's cheaper competitors. I love the colors that Butter offers, but I can live without them and not waste my money again.

Comments about Butter London Nail Lacquer:

I have no idea why it took me so long to try out this brand. So far, I really like the polish texture, color selection, and application. The polish last for 4 days and keeps its shine. Application was smooth, and I only needed two coats. I will purchase more colors for my collection. I really enjoyed the final product.

Comments about Butter London Nail Lacquer:

I have been using this brand for 2 years and I find that the quality can vary by color, and wear time can vary with season (winter months are harsh on my hands and nails). The reds I have used do apply like butter and have a long staying power, however, the cremes are hit and miss. The glitter tends to chip the fastest for me but the shimmer polishes wear very well. The top coat dries very quickly and I can paint my nails and be out the door in 15 minutes without ruining my mani. I have found the polish to last for at a year and I think the square top helps close the bottle tightly for better shelf life. I don't find it to have a strong odor, and I like the opacity. I have tried every brand of nail polish and it really is all about what works best with your body chemistry. I do think they are overpriced and its best to try these on sale. However, Butter London and Ulta do have great customer service if you are unhappy with the purchase.

Beautiful colors but not the best polish

    By Rebecca

    from FL

Comments about Butter London Nail Lacquer:

I absolutely LOVED all their colors so I picked up several bottles when they were on sale a while back. I have to say they go on rather streaky and set that way and you can see the stroke marks on the second coat. After a few months, I was even more disappointed to find that they had become coagulated, gloppy and impossible to use. There were a few colors I still loved regardless of the negative marks because of their color, so I thinned them with nail polish remover, but if I had to do it again, I would have saved my money.

Comments about Butter London Nail Lacquer:

I use this on my own nails when I'm using my Sally Hansen Triple strength nail hardner because all those bubbles that appear!! Butter London is the best glitter EVER!!!!!!! Seriously everyone thought it was some type of gel from a salon, that's how pigmented and shiny it is!! You won't regret investing in this wonderful (toddler friendly) polish!! We have three colors so far and go every payday for a new color until we have all of them!!

Comments about Butter London Nail Lacquer:

This was my first try at more expensive (>$5 bottle) nail polishes. I purchased Butter and a China Glaze. I found Butter to be lacking in coverage. It goes on streaked and therefore not very true to color because of the thin coverage. This is what I am used to with pharmacy brands, but was hoping to see better with a more expensive brand. I would say that China Glaze was a bit better, and a tad less expensive.
