Comments about Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35:

I have used this everyday since I bought it. It was a was a higher price point than I would usually spend, but I was tired of trying products that were "almost" what I wanted or didn't work for me at all. Now, I can stop searching for the perfect sunblock/foundation/base because I've finally found what I've been searching for, for many years! My skin is very fair, so I need sunblock every day. I also have true combination skin. It is oily and acne prone, even at age 40, but also very sensitive. I gave up on liquid foundation about 20 years ago because I could never find a good color match and it always moved around my face like an oil slick. Since changing to powder foundations, I've struggled to find a sunscreen to use on my face everyday as a base. The sunscreen would either eventually creep into my eyes and burn like crazy, or it would over-dry my skin and cause my eczema to show up, or both. Also, it was difficult to find one with a UPF higher than 15 or 20 for my fair skin. This product has it all for me! Since it blends well and I found the perfect color match, most days I use it as my foundation with a translucent mineral powder that's in a compact from Physician's Formula. On the days I have more time or want/need more coverage, I use it as the base under my Bare Minerals powder foundation and mineral veil. I'm not even half way through the first tube, but I'm going to pick up another one soon, so I won't have to go without it when this one runs out! I hope they never discontinue this BB cream! This is a wonderful product...I love it!

I received a sample of this cream and loved it. For some reason, when I went back to get foundation, I purchased Lancôme. I didn't like it at all. Coverage was spotting and the color wasn't right. So, I went back and purchased BB. I start off with it in the morning and it is easy to touch up during the day.

I wanted a sheer coverage for summer and the appearance of moistness (I am mature). I usually wear a mineral foundation that is fairly heavy. I like this BB cream but have used the less expensive "drug store" brand and it worked just as well.

Comments about Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35:

I wanted this to be a good product, but it was just not for me. I have oily skin and was recommended to use this with a primer and to set with the halo perfecting powder. I ended up breaking out.
This product was also hard for me to spread. I felt like I was pulling at my skin too much to try and spread out the product. Returned for a different brand of BB cream.
I would say that if you have dry skin to give this a try or to add some moisturizer to help this product spread easier.

Love this product! I've searched for a BB cream with a natural finish that provided decent coverage. This is perfect to wear alone during the summer months and stays in place. I use it over Benefit's Pore minimizer. It is definitely worth the $, as a little goes a long way!

Even with a primer the cream sinks into my largish pores and looks spotty. I tried blending it with a lighter weight cream, same thing.
Very disappointing considering the considerable price.

Is this BB cream oil free? I LOVED the oil free tinted moisturizer that Smashbox used to make but they stopped when they came out with this product. It this truly oil free? No just without "mineral oils" but ANY oil? The oil free tinted moisturizer was one of the best products I have found - color, texture and it never caused me any breakouts. I'm just about to use up the last of the tubes of it that I had stocked up on when I heard it was going away so it's time to start thinking about as new one but I am concerned about break outs.
