I haven't been using this product for very long, but I can honestly see improvement on some very stubborn sun damage spots on my forehead. I won't name the name, but I used another product for 2 rounds and didn't see much improvement. I also tried another product line with a different chemical for sun damge and that one was worthless. StriVectin in just a little over a week has them both beat! And no irritation/redness at all

Purchased this to help clear up acne scarring that was left over after a recent flare up. For the first few days it seemed to be helping the dark marks, and it has a wonderful citrus scent so I loved it. After just a few days, however, my acne started flaring up again. I stopped using it, and the flare up stopped. I can only assume this was the culprit, and resturned it to the store.

This serum definitely brightens skin, and I have seen some gradual lightening of dark spots. For the last 3 months, I saw more dramatic lightening with Philosophy Miracle Worker Dark Spot Corrector, but, based on the ingredients, I am sure this will keep the melanin production at bay. Sometimes I need to change up ingredients so my skin doesn't become resistant to them, and I think that's why the Philosophy serum was more powerful, for me, at this point. Strivectin EV works at night, or even under sunscreen/makeup for day, making this a wonderful antioxidant serum. Its texture is light, and it doesn't get greasy or flaky.
