I love this product! You can apply as much or as little of this eye shadow as desired. The trick to blending this product is to not allow it to dry. You have about 15-20 seconds after application to blend it. After that, it is difficult to blend. You don't need a primer with this, which is great for moms on the go. I find it best to apply with my finger as it warms up and blends well with the warmth of your fingers. You can use a brush if that is desired, it is just a little harder to apply. If applying with a brush, use a concealer brush and apply light layers & build. Builds up very easily.

Got this in Bold Gold. Not really a gold color, more of an antique bronzy gold. Great wear but the sparkles did migrate a bit through the day. Hard to apply as it dries fast and can't really layer anymore on without looking spackle! Still, worked a lot better than other long lasting shadows.

I love these! I use Barely Branded as an eyeshadow base almost everyday. I have 6-7 shades from the original line as well as the Metal and limited edition collections and I use them all pretty often. They're great on their own for a quick eye look or used underneath other shadows to intensify the shadow color and make it longer lasting. Some shades blend and are better pigmentation than others. Bold Gold works well, but the gold from the Metal line can be patchy when applied. They're best applied with your finger or a dense brush and patted on. If you try to sweep it on, sometimes it can get patchy and uneven. Also, just like many creme products they can dry out so make sure to completely close the lid and store them upside down and it helps them stay fresh longer. I have had some of mine for a long time and they're still going strong.

I used this product on its own and it goes on very smoothly while also remaining very vibrant throughout the day. I apply this product with a synthetic shadow brush. When I attempted to apply with my finger, I found that it can get a bit messy. Also, that's not very sanitary. All in all, this is a fantastic product. Worth every penny.

I use this product for a smoky look. The pigmentation is great and I love the texture, but it crease and wears off. Also, it doesn't blend well.

I can't say enough good things about Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow. I know this is a holy grail product for a lot of people, and it's easy to see why.
First off, this eyeshadow is very easy to apply - you don't even need a brush. I just use my fingers to apply it to my eyelids and then use a clean finger to blend out the edges. The best part is that they stay on all day without creasing or smudging. For that reason, I think they'll be an especially good pick in the summer months when I'm spending a lot of time outside and need my makeup to stay on all day through humid weather.
If bright eyeshadow isn't your thing, don't be put off by these - the taupe and bronze colors are really beautiful and wearable. The Color Tattoo Metal line also seems to have a couple more toned-down colors.

A little practice and you'll love this stuff. I mean a little. can be bold or suttle. Once dry it stays and does not crease. Layers well. You can watch video at Maybelline.com You'll be hooked. Have almost every color.
