I was very skeptical about purchasing a gel at home system because of the initial costs and some bad reviews. But at $30 or more a pop for a gel manicure and an Ulta coupon in my pocket I decided to go with the professional version of the Red Carpet nails. Easy to apply-if you are skilled at regular nail polish this is a snap. I recommend reading the directions carefully as it explained some things I would have otherwise worried about.

The finished product is holding up very well. After a week and a half I've only got one tiny chip- I am extremely hard on may nails especially at work and a regular manicure doesn't even last a full 24 hours. So I consider this excellent wear. The only caveat to the whole thing is how small the bottles of product are- I would prefer full sized bottles of product.

I read all the reviews prior to purchasing and thought this was by far the best system out there for at home use. I'm so glad I bought this kit. Directions are easy to follow, and like others said, very thin coats, don't overdo it. Getting the hang of this was easy and the manicure lasts until I have to take it off due to growth....lasts through every terrible activity my nails could possibly handle. I'm really hard on my hands/ nails and this made my nails shine beautifully through it all!
Very satisfied and the add on kits are fun as well as worth their cost
The only reason not five stars is the removal. Damages the natural nail further. Wish that part was easier.

Use it for regular nail maintenance. I can't lie, for about a month I was frustrated with the thing and I wanted to return it but I'm happy I didn't. THEY AREN'T LYING WHEN THEY SAY APPLY THIN COATS! And by thin that means after the first coat of color you will still see your natural nail. The second coat will fill it in and make it opaque or "full" and any coats after that help reduce chipping and makes your nails harder. I normally do 3-4 coats and it can last up to 3 weeks.

Yes, I would recommend this. I already have. Be patient with it and you'll love it. I do wish RCM would make a non-portable light that would allow me to do both hands at the same time. A girl can dream.

I have always done my nails myself and prefer the French manicure. My first round with the gel manicure lasted two full weeks with NO chips and I only need to take it off because it has grown out. I do a lot of dishes and baths with my two young boys and am so happy to have my pretty nails back! Just follow the instructions and your nails will be fabulous :)

This is the best thing I have ever purchased! It completely pays for itself. Gel manicures at salons are so expensive and this takes care of that! I can get a gel manicure almost as good as in the salon and I can do it myself at home! Love it!!
