I live in the South where there is a lot of humidity, year round. I've had a couple curly-haired friends recommend Ouidad products. I condition, not wash, my curls every morning, and when I use this product, my hair starts to frizz by lunchtime. I've had better results with Suave mousse, which is $3 in comparison. DevaCurl has a much better gel, which keeps my frizz at bay all day long. Sorry Ouidad, I'm not impressed.

Sadly, many companies forget that carlies are often sensitive skinned or have allergies. This product uses clove oil, I am assuming for a natural scent. While I like cloves, on my skin and scalp stong natural oils like this can be an irritant. I will try some of their other gels once I use this up, checking labels. As far as hold and definition, this really did the job.

I've used a million curly hair products in the past, but always seem to come back to this one! It calms frizz, gives a great amount of hold while keeping your hair soft and touchable, and provides definition. The only downside is price, but compared to other salon brands, it's really quite reasonable.

I had high hopes for Ouidad, since I love DevaCurl. I thought I'd try something new, so my hair doesn't get in a routine rut. Unfortunately, this gel fell way short of my expectations.

My hair still curls, of course, but it is also slightly sticky. I now have longer, not as attractive curls that look greasy and are crunchy. I've tried several different methods for this gel, including the recommended rake and shake. Nothing seems to help.

I plan on making my own Flax Seed Gel today and tossing the Ouidad.

I have thin spiral curls, but lots of them and have tried a TON of products. I use this in combination with Ouidad moisture lock leave in conditioner. I mix a bunch of both together in my hands and then spread throughout my hair in sections. Dry hair with diffuser. Curls wind up crunchy, but I get rid of this by putting a few drops of serum on my hands and running my palms over my hair. Curls stay pretty frizz free all day. I think this product works better then the Ouidad heat & humidity gel, which does not keep my hair as frizz free.

This is the first product that I have tried in my curly hair that I love. I have tried many products but they have left my hair frizzy by days end, this product keeps my curls in place for the whole day. I use the rake and shake method that they recommend and the results for me have been life changing ( I actually want to wear it down instead of the old pony tail standby).

I have frizzy, thick, coarse, curly hair. The Ouidad Tress Effects works okay on my hair, but not as best the the Ouidad Climate Control Gel.
When used in combination with the Ouidad pomade, it makes my curls softer and more controlable.

I love this gel for the winter months in Florida when its not so humid; good control, light weight and doesn't feel sticky
