I bought this product almost 3.5 months ago from Ulta store as a last resort. I am generally not a hairy person in my legs, underarms etc, however, in recent years I have been having dark stronge hair growth on my chin. I did many things to get rid of it. Going to electorlysis (lady did it almost damage my skin permanently, achne in every rooth she treated. Bad vision took her 60 min to finish the job which she charged me for time so I left doing that), laser at dermotologists (expensive and they recommend me to not to pick the hair with the twizzer after the treatment, that did not work for me, since I am very light skin women with dark chin hair shaving was not an option), waxing (picks hair from any where I wax, except on my chin because hair was course and stubborn), I even used home electorlysis(useless machines), gel-versio thing useless, and even ant cream that I found online- useless. Finally I decided on this machine-it is a miracle. I did not follow the instruction completely I must say. First, instructions says don't use on above your neck area, I used with putting on sun glasses. First two weeks I used twice a week, based on my hair growth,than next 4 weeks I used only once a week and pick the hairs up with tweezers. I used the level 5 and went the area once and returned back to same area again second time, second time hurts little bit but not much and redness did not stay that long, no irritation. At the end of the first month I would say 60-70% of the hair was gone. Now I almost finished my third month, I do touch ups, 1-2 times a month for 2-3 hairs left(thinner and lighter). Now, I have seen the success on my chin hair, I am going to work on the under arm, above my feet and bikini areas. Booklet says it is affective for 6 mnoths. It is okay for me, even if the hair cames back after 6 months I will continue use this machine (I hope it never comes back :))

I love this little machine! I have light skin and dark dark almost black hair, which is the best combo for this. I have a LOT of hair and usually have to wax, shave, use veet AND bleach some hairs. But this little machine so far has nixed the bleach off the list. I bought it for christmas when it was on sale. I've used it for 3 months now and my underarms are basically hairless, my bikini line is almost completely hairless! I never thought I would say that! I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT!! I LOVE IT THAT MUCH!! Yes it does hurt a little but I found if I just ice the area very quickly it makes it completely tolerable. Also I read reviews beforehand and used the highest level like others suggested and I really have gotten the fastest and best results for my money.

Loved this at first. Followed directions exactly and saw good results. Over the months all the hair slowly but surely returned. Have used for over a year with no permanent change in the results. Might be for you, but I was let down.

I bought this a month ago. I used it immediately on a Monday. I've done it every single Monday for the past 3 weeks. I was starting to lose hope because it was going on 4weeks and FINALLY I am starting to see results. Most of the other people's feedback said they saw results in 2 weeks but mine took longer. So, just have patience when you buy this. It is probably because I am using a lower setting that it is taking longer. I used the setting on 1 the first week, and the last 2 weeks I have it set to 2. I am amazed at the results! I do still have more to go but I would say It is atleast a 50% decrease in hair. I do use this on my face! It says not to but that is the only place I am using it right now and I have had NO problems whatsoever with this. I will tell you this, I am a BIG baby when it comes to pain. This feels like a little pinch and it isn't comfortable but it isn't unbearable at all. Make sure you shave close right before you use it and it will not hurt as bad. I had one black hair that I did not shave and that one hurt more than the rest. This is easy to use and comes with an instructional video that is very easy to understand. I will probably use it on other parts afterwards. I did try the bikini area and that area does hurt pretty bad so I stopped.

I'm olive complected with dark brown hair...Italian blood. Product is easy to use, just read the instructions completely FIRST! Not as good as the professional, but much more afordable and conveinent and less painful. I've used it 3 times already and my new area that I have tried is the underarms....only zapped them once and have seen big difference.I was paying $150 each time for upper lip and the technician didn't even try to make sure they zapped everything. So they were missing alot. They would make 3-4 zaps total. I also had the bikini area done professionally...very costly. It's nice now to be able to do this at home for much less cost. It's not rated for the face because of the intense light...wish it was. I'm still using the first cartridge after doing underarms once, bikini area twice and toes and a few other spot treatment areas (arms).
Misses hairs...it seems that it misses hairs but it's the fact that the ipl area is bulky and you can't really see the "window" to know where to place it next. You just have to barely move it before each zap to ensure complete coverage and zap vertically as well as horizontally.

I have light/meduim skin and black hair. I used this thing all the way on its highest settings. I gotta say it hurt quite a bit for me, and I like to think that my pain threshold is quite high since I was doing waxing before. Anyways, it has been over 2 weeks since i bought this product and i have to say at first I was really thinking this thing wasn't going to work but it takes 10-15 days for the hairs to fall out. it's been 17 days and wow, the hairs just sort of fell out! i didn't even notice! I use it on my face ( even though it says not to) and its is working great so far! in just about 2 weeks, i feel like at least half of the hairs on my upper lip have fallen out! This thing is so great. The price and convenience is really what got me. I am also using this on my legs, but the progress is going alot slower. It is less effecive for my legs. I feel like maybe only 10% of leg hairs have fallen out. I do think that this product will have different efficacy on each body part, but with continued use hopefully I'll be hair free! Ill ty to update in a few weeks, but so far I am very happy with this product!

Just as a side note, i noticed that I put it on a part that had very fine hairs, and I didn't shave, and it just burned the hairs off! They became white!

This is a 3 session process. I have performed the first one and was quite impressed with it. It is very easy to use, but does take some time in order to do your entire legs, so plan on a glass of wine, good music and enjoy. I didn't seem to have any unbearable warmth or pinching feeling as I was doing this. The only downfall I would say it may have is that you'll need to buy an extra cartridge in order to do the 2 week interval series if you're doing legs and armpits. (No I'm not very hairy, just average) I'm very excited and it does appear the regrowth is much slower in the week and a half since I did it. I defintely can see how this thing works. Definitely recommend.

DID'NT HURT. THE BULBS ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BE
REPLACED OFTEN DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH HAIR YOU HAVE AND WHAT BODY AREAS YOU ARE REMOVING HAIR FROM.

If your skin is pale and your hair dark, this is for you. I saw results by the third treatment, 70% of the hair is gone. I am not sure if is going to grow back, but still is much less noticeable when you shave it between treatments.
