I live the fact it has different heat settings. The only down fall is that if you push the button why using it, it will turn off or turn the heat up or down

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

The on/off and temperature setting buttons are all the same button on the handle of the straightener, so when you hold it, you push the button, which is annoying. Also, it snagged my hair every time I ran it through. After 1 use, I had to return it. I don't recommend it. I have the John Freida hairdryer though and I love it!

    Don't even try it ...

    By Brittany

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

This straightener is the absolute worst I have ever tried. The placement of the on/off switch and the temperature setting is in the most inconvenient spot - right where your hand holds the straightener! It also makes really weird noises. I'm returning this as soon as I can and upgrading to something else. I really am disappointed in this product.

Was given to me as a gift since my previous one was wore out (taking awhile to heat up). I'm probably just going to use my old one at this point. I tried to give it a chance and I've been using it for two months but it doesn't work for my thick wavy hair. I will probably buy another Remington. I mean it does heat up fast and has a swivel cord but it takes even longer for me to straighten my hair.

Works fine but temp adjustment buttons are badly placed.

The temperature control settings are right where your hands rest when using the product so the temperature adjusts without you realizing it. Poorly placed.

I don't know why I waited so long to get a flat iron. Different hair styles need different tools. I was still using a curling iron.

              Terrible

              By Cc

              from MI

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

This flat iron was awful. I was extremely disappointed. It's designed so poorly, it makes odd noises, and it just doesn't work very well. I could hardly straighten or curl my hair with it and I have very fine hair that's usually easy to style. I'm returning this immediately.

              Pricey & Poor Design

              By Amanda

              from Maryland

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

Bought this as a replacement for an old Remington that worked great but was wearing out. The design of this straightener as others have said is terrible. Buttons are placed poorly, and while I didn't push them all the time, I would accidentally press them here and there so I became overly conscious of it. Quickly returned for another Remington. I gave an extra star because it did actually straighten my coarse and frizzy hair quite well.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

This straightening iron would be perfect if it would stay on!! The design is poor and the on/off button and the temp setting is put right where I would grip the iron. I kept shutting it off and changing the temp every time I grabbed it. Clearly, it wasn't tested even once before being produced. I hope I have my receipt to return this!!!

              • Q:

Does this product have a "swivel-cord" because I find myself using my flatiron to create curls and waves ad I hate when the cord tangles up and becomes hard to use when straightening, so I always buy flatirons with the swivel cord and I wanted to check before I purchased this one.

              • Q:

I have this flat iron but I'm unsure what temperature I should use. I have pretty fine highlighted blonde hair. I tried using it on the lowest setting, but my hair did not straighten. I'm a little hesitant to go up in temperature. Is there a range I should be in for having fine hair?
