Flat Iron

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

The on/off and temp button is directly on the handle of the flat iron and it is easy to push which is very ineffective when your trying to style your hair. I returned the iron the very next day and got a cheaper one that I'm much happier with. Not worth the cost or hassle

The temperature gage should not be on top of the handle. As you use it it lowers the temperature down.

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

Great for daily use. Quick to heat up between passes. Does snag my hair from time to time but that may be because I'm impatient. I wish it had a loop on the cord to hang it when not in use. It also does like to stay in one place if you need to set it down. The rounded bottom is a bit of a pain

Comments about John Frieda Sleek Finish Flat Iron:

I have fine hair, but I like to use a flat iron to smooth out flyaways and frizz and create extra shine. I also like to use the flat iron to curl my hair. Since my hair is SO fine, this seems to be the only way I can get curls that last all day without 50lbs. of product. It is nice to be able to have touchable bouncy, beachy curls without any holding product! This flat iron is effective, but it has its issues. It snags my hair badly. No matter how careful I am, there are days where I'm surprised there is any hair left on my head! I love the fact that it has adjustable heat, however the placement of the buttons isn't the greatest. It somewhat locks your temperature in, but if you bump the button for a second too long, you'll screw up your settings. Not a huge deal, but an annoyance nonetheless. The silver "painted" coating on the outside is wearing off and has been for some time. It started within a year of purchase. Again, not a huge deal. It heats up very quickly, which is a huge bonus and it also has automatic shut-off. It gets the job done. In the end, this is an okay flat iron depending on how you plan to use it.

The buttons are in the wrong place and I am constantly turning it off or changing the temperature on accident. It makes a sizzling electrical noise and I'm not sure that it is safe. It also snags my hair. Pretty bad all around.

                  Best Straightener I've Ever Had!

I've had this straightener for about two years now and it's still going good. It don't pull on my hair and I love the different temperature setting it has. It didn't dry my hair out and my hair gets straightened much faster. I love it??

                  • Q:

I have this flat iron but I'm unsure what temperature I should use. I have pretty fine highlighted blonde hair. I tried using it on the lowest setting, but my hair did not straighten. I'm a little hesitant to go up in temperature. Is there a range I should be in for having fine hair?
