Comments about Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder:

I have slighly dry skin and have tried many powders. Most of them end up looking like they are sitting on top of my skin, which leaves a heavy, caked-on appearance up close. This Smashbox powder is by far the best I've found. It goes on lightly, blends well and leaves my skin looking smooth and natural. I started out by buying the sample kit and love the BB Cream as well. The primer also works well, but I don't use it all the time as I don't really need it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants great coverage with natural looking results.

I'm on the fence between light and light/neutral. Can you describe the primary differences between the two? Light appears more pink; would light/neutral have more of a yellow undertone to hide redness?

                  A:

You are absolutely correct! Though both shades are appropriate for light complexions, Light is ideal for those with pink undertones, while Light/Neutral is ideal for those with both yellow & pink undertones or those with skin redness as a color corrector.

I am currently using philosophy powder. Is this comparable to it? I feel that philosophy needs many applications to cover and I am trying to switch over to a different product. If I am using the sand color, what would match my skin color in this product?

This product provides sheer coverage. It can be worn alone or as a luminous finishing powder over your favorite primer and foundation for more coverage. Shade Light/Medium may be your best match, though we suggest testing this shade at your nearest ULTA store:

                  A:

Smashbox does not use the claim non-comedogenic on any of their products. Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder is non-acnegenic, meaning it has been clinically tested by a board certified dermatologist and determined that it does not increase acne lesions on acne-prone patients.
