Comments about Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder:

I've used this product for years. My only complaint (resulting in 4 stars) is the container release consistently breaks towards the end of use. And it doesn't come packaged with a mini kabuki anymore. But the powder itself is great. Covers well, doesn't look cakey.

Comments about Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder:

I purchased this after a store demo because it is a very sheer and lightweight product. However, after trying it a couple of times, I decided that it was not the coverage I was looking for; it was very close to wearing nothing. I could have used it as a finishing powder over a liquid foundation. I was disappointed, so I returned the product. I like the idea of turning the top to release the powder, but if you do not use all the powder that was released, you will have a small mess next time you use it if you put it in your purse or cosmetic bag. A round blending sponge over the top may prevent that from happening.

Comments about Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder:

I have used this for many years. Mostly as a powder finish for setting my makeup but it can be used by itself as a quick lightweight 'makeup'...especially good for summer!
The draw backs are the size of the container and the brush, albeit small, isn't attached so it's not convenient to take with you. They do make a smaller travel size which helps but there is still the problem of the brush.

You are absolutely correct! Though both shades are appropriate for light complexions, Light is ideal for those with pink undertones, while Light/Neutral is ideal for those with both yellow & pink undertones or those with skin redness as a color corrector.

I am currently using philosophy powder. Is this comparable to it? I feel that philosophy needs many applications to cover and I am trying to switch over to a different product. If I am using the sand color, what would match my skin color in this product?

This product provides sheer coverage. It can be worn alone or as a luminous finishing powder over your favorite primer and foundation for more coverage. Shade Light/Medium may be your best match, though we suggest testing this shade at your nearest ULTA store:

                      A:

Smashbox does not use the claim non-comedogenic on any of their products. Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder is non-acnegenic, meaning it has been clinically tested by a board certified dermatologist and determined that it does not increase acne lesions on acne-prone patients.
