Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I usually try to skimp by with cheaper products, but due to a breaking out, I needed something different. This foundation is phenomenal! One of the employees applied it for me and I loved it instantly! The coverage is flawless! I also use the primer and powder to finish. I think I'm definitely hooked now!

Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I have very fair skin & need a foundation that covers well. My biggest gripe with most products is that, while they may look great when they first go on, they don't last and throughout the day & I'd have to reapply or touch-up. Not so with Studio Skin! This is the BEST & ONLY product that has ever truly worked for me. I just spent 5 hours in a stadium on a very hot & sunny day. It didn't sweat off & looked great at the end of the day. I have never been able to do that with any other foundation. It's OUTSTANDING!

NOTE: The "con" I listed above is only a con until you get used to the product. Apply and blend once, but do so in timely fashion. Once it "sets" you can't really go back to reapply because it won't blend in well...but that's the point!
Do it once & do it right & you're done!

ALSO--I started using the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (love it also) long before I starting using the Studio Skin. That said, I can't speak to how it performs without it.

Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I have tried many foundations (name brand and drug store) to find the best one. This one is pretty close to being perfect.
I've been using Smashbox 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation for the past couple of weeks now. I find it easy to apply, it blends well and it's very long lasting. The thing I like the most about this one is that it keeps my skin oil free all day. I did notice minor breakouts the first couple of days but my skin cleared up pretty fast while still using this foundation on a daily basis.
I strongly recommend applying it with a good foundation brush if possible.

Comments about Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation:

I tried this foundation out first to replace my MAC Prolongwear Foundation due to my skin being too light for ALL shades of the MAC foundation. This one I wear the lightest shade in and it's a pretty good match for me. I can't tell that it is any better than the MAC foundation but that being said, it's not any worse either. I don't like to wear heavy makeup at all, and like my skin to look like skin and not foundation. This foundation DOES look like skin. It's awesome.
I wear this for everything except a special occasion in which I go for slightly more coverage.
    It does last all day.
    It does look natural.
It does not break me out.
For an everyday foundation I don't ask for anything more.
ONLY CON is the price. The MAC Prolongwear is only about 30 or 32. But it's worth the upcharge to have a foundation that matches and meets my needs.
I recommend to anyone looking for a medium, buildable coverage.

Okay so I usually don't spend more than $25.00 on a foundation, but I decided to try this one out. I have tried SEVERAL different foundations, but this one has by far been the best. I have acne prone skin and with the medicine that I'm on my skin can get very dry. I have not had a problem with my skin and the coverage is amazing. I like a little more coverage since I am acne prone and this totally does the trick!

I work 12 hr shifts with no time to reapply or fool with my make up, but I still want to look decent throughout the day! I put this makeup on at 6 am and when I get home at 8 pm, my face looks exactly like it did at 6 am! No cracks, clumping; just a smooth, fresh face! I also need to mention that I have pretty dry skin, and this foundation keeps my face moisturized all day long. I love it so much and I'm so glad I found this foundation! The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I wish there was a better selection of shades :(

                  A:

Both feature very similar formulas that provide full coverage! Both are formulated for all skin types, and both feature skin-perfecting properties to minimize the look of imperfections such as acne scarring. I've highlighted some differences below to assist you in choosing one:

This product has been tested for 15 hours of wear, while Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation has been tested for 12 hours of wear.

Tarte is formulated with Broad Spectrum SPF 15 to protect skin against UVA/UVB sun damage, and this product does not feature sun protection.

This product features an oil-free formula, but Tarte is not oil-free.

This product is available in 12 shades, and Tarte is available in 15 shades.

This product has been tested in a studio environment as photo-friendly. Tarte has not been tested in this way.

                  Hope this info helps!

I want to by this foundation but I need to know what shade to buy. I am quite fair (I tend to be fair year round, I don't get very dark even in summer). So, what shade would I be in this foundation? Thanks!

We highly recommend using new Smashbox Telephoto 3-In-1 Face Brush (Item #: 2273031), which allows you to achieve any level of coverage (sheer, medium, or full), all with a single brush! Its densely packed bristles distribute the perfect amount of product and buff foundation to perfection:
