I bought this for my husband's birthday. He has been shaving his head for about 15 years now. This just doesn't get close enough. He does have coarse hair, and maybe I need a different type of shaver for him. The value is not bad and it is NOT cheaply made. Other than the type of shave it provided, I would say it is a good shaver.

My stepson has very coarse and curly hair. We were looking for a clipper that could get through it. This clipper was great, especially for the price! The only negative thing we found was that the guards got clogged frequently. As soon as we took them off, the clipper made quick work of his head of hair! Would recommend this product to all.
