I bought this in the shade Captivating, for a friend's bridal makeup. I've tested it a few times before trying it on her and the shade is a natural peachy tint with amazing staying power. It may seem expensive, but the pigmentation is amazing and it will last you forever. I intend on picking up a few other colors, at some point.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush:

My facial skin is fair, VERY oily, has large pores, adult acne (I am 25 as of 2014), and I live in both southeast Georgia and north Georgia, so I am battling humidity too (my face sweats really easily). In addition to my skin problems, I take a medication or two that can cause acne, as a side effect. My recent skin regimen that appears to prevent the oil slick: Dermalogica's clearing skin wash then apply Dermalogica's clearing mattifier and oil control lotion along with clindamycin (from the dermatologist). I then use Hourglass Veil primer, then Dr Brandt BB shine control, and then Tarte Smooth Operator powder. I wait 5-10 minutes between applying the Dermalogica and clindamycin (I use the clindamycin before applying the Dermalogica mattifier and oil control). Then apply the primer and wait 5-10 minutes before applying the Dr Brandt BB shine control cream. I've had success with both types of Tarte concealer, which I apply after the BB cream. Then, after applying Tarte blush and Tarte matte bronzer along with Urban Decay eye makeup and Smashbox eye primer (I feel Smashbox eye primer doesn't try my eyes out like Urban Decays but both will hold eyeshadow) and Smashbox brow tech (which is incredible and waterproof). I finish my makeup routine with Urban Decay's De Slick setting spray. I've also had success with Benefit's porefessional primer. This is my first bottle of Hourglass Veil, but according to the label, it has more beneficial ingredients for your skin than the porefessional. I used to use Murad anti-aging products and acne products especially the oil control lotion, but it was doing good to hold the oil back for 8 hours. However, I was using Tarte BB primer cream instead of the Dr Brandt. I haven't used Tarte BB with the Dermalogica or Murad with the Dr Brandt BB. After the success I've had with the Dermalogica and Dr Brandt duo, I'm hesitant to retry the Tarte BB and Murad. Note, I use Tretinoin gel at night and take oral doxycycline hyclate both from my dermatologist.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush:

I had them match a good blush to me, and doll face was what was decided on. It is a good quality, very pigmented, and long lasting. It is a great blush, and got me buying other Tarte products. The way the blush itself looks is nice with the design. It brings a nice color to my face, and lasts even after I have laid down for a nap and I have my cheek to the bed. I think this brand makes excellent blush. Nothing bad to say about it.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush:

I have oily skin so blushes are usually hard for me to use because they make skin look blotchy and shiny. However, after discovering this product a couple months ago, I confidently wear this to enhance my natural make up. Love the texture and how it stays on for hours.

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush:

I have been using Tarte cheek stain cream blush for a few years because my skin is very dry. On a whim, I decided to try the powder version and I am so glad I did. It is very blendable and buildable. It is the first powder that does not cake or dry my skin. It is so easy to apply and a little goes a long way. I find that it lasts all day without touchups. I chose dollface which is perfect for my very fair skin. I can wear it as a soft pink flush or build it for a deeper blush. I love it!

Comments about Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush:

I think the color is so pretty and natural, but the color doesn't last as long as advertised. I bought this for my recent wedding, and after about 6 hours, it didn't look like I had color on my cheeks. Granted, 6 hours is a long time, but the advertised lasting time is 12 hours. I love the color, but not sure it's worth the price. I am contemplating returning.

                • Q:

Hello, I have the cream version of "Achiote" and love it however the powder version appears more peachy (at least on my screen) and doesn't seem to have the touch of rosiness as the cream. Can you tell me if the powder and cream are the same? Also, I am fair, blonde, green eyes and I am curious how "Flush" would look with my coloring? Thanks!

                    A:

The cream version is warmer in color, so we might suggest Tarte Airblush Maracuja Blush as alternatives for the same cream blush effect. If you're looking for color comparison, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush comes in rosy shades such as Blushing Bride, Natural Beauty, or Dazzled. Dollface or Amused will be sure to complement a fair skin tone!
