It works well to cover the red patches, but it was alot more expensive than I was hoping for. Not sure if I will buy another one after I finish this one. Good thing is that it will be a while before I have to find a different one because a little goes a long way.

I have some redness on the sides of my cheeks. This product works to neutralize the redness but I wouldn't call it a moisturizer. I have dry to combination skin and this product is thick and difficult to spread and absorb on the skin. It is VERY GREEN!! The only way it worked for me was : cleanse face, moisturize, apply primer, apply a very small amount of this dermalogica product on sides of cheeks and pad and spread it on with fingers. This would make my face look bit "ashy" but covered the redness. Next I would put make up on .... I did end up returning it cuz too costly to use as a "makeup product". Did not soothe my skin as advertised.

In the morning and at bedtime. It is getting rid of the redness, but without makeup on over it (the product is a green color)no matter how much you rub it in you can still see the green.

I bought this because I needed a good moisturizer and I have sensitive skin and redness. I have heard good things about the this brand and this is what ulta recommended. I tried it until I was done with it but I never saw a difference in my face. I still had the same dryness in my t zone area and the same redness.

Comments about Dermalogica UltraCalming Redness Relief SPF20:

I was looking for a good moisturizer for my sensative skin and something to help cover the red as well. In the past I have used a primer after my moisturizer to help cover the red on my face. So I thought this product would be great. This product was so green that I could not cover the green tinge up with my normal makeup. It did not really moisturize well for me, although I did not try it very long because I did not want to go out in public with a green face.

Comments about Dermalogica UltraCalming Redness Relief SPF20:

I just had a microdermabrasion treatment done at Ulta. I have extremely red skin (due to lack of hormones following a hysterectomy several years ago). Some people think it is rosacea, but it is not (according to a dermatologist)...it is just always red without makeup. After the treatment, she applied the calming cleanser, then the redness relief for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, she removed it with a tissue. Initially, I was very pale. After about 30 minutes or so, my natural color came through without redness. I think you have to apply it for the right amount of time, and remove it correctly, and then give your skin time to react (after reading some of the negative reviews below). Of course, it helped having someone actually do it for me so that I know what to do. I don't even know how to act without the redness!

I used this product for 3 weeks thinking that eventually my skin would get used to it. I have rosechia and combination skin. I love the sensitive gel cleanser so I thought that I'd love the redness reducing moisturizer, not so much! It left my skin with a green tinge and it didn't really moisturize. The worst part was any place that I had flaking skin, it turned white so the flaking skin really poped out!
