Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

So I have medium brown hair and I used this product all of spring break. All I can say is that you can call me a blonde now. This product does have great results and it's perfect to get that sun-kissed look in your hair. I would just spray it and use a comb to comb it through and lay out in the sun. By the end of the day, there was a noticeable difference. At first, my hair had more of a copper tint to it and after that it transitioned more to the blonde side. The only thing was that my hair was dried out afterwards, but that's nothing you can't fix with not adding heat to your hair unless you need to and nurturing your hair with moisturizing products. If I had dark brown/black hair, I would suggest not using it unless you want that red color.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

My mom used this product as a girl, and I've been using Sun-In ever since I hit puberty, when my golden blonde hair started darkening to a dirty blonde. There are a few things that you need to know before using this product: it is intended for people with light brown to blonde hair. If you have medium/dark brown/black hair, your results may be more reddish-blonde than platinum-blonde. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, as some people like that color (I have a friend with brown hair who uses it, and I think her reddish highlights are pretty). Another thing to know about this product is that it works best out in the heat of the sun. I know the bottle says you can blow dry it, and you certainly can, but faster and more powerful results will come from spraying it in your hair and letting dry in the direct sun & heat. Thirdly, for those who complain that this is too damaging for hair...it has hydrogen peroxide in it. It's a bleach. It's going to damage your hair, just like how swimmers' hair gets damaged and dry from chlorine. My suggestion is just to use it on your roots as they grow in (every 6-8 weeks, like regular highlighting), not weekly and certainly not every day or every other day. It's also a great product for making your hair ombre, if you don't want to mess around with root touch-ups. Anyway, if you use it minimally, and especially if you use a hydrating shampoo/conditioner, it should only damage your hair minimally. Bottom line, this is a great, cheap alternative to highlighting for people who want a natural look (not a streaky, fake highlight-y look, but rather an all-around lighter look that you can choose to add highlights to or not). In my opinion, negative reviews for this product come from misuse and misunderstanding about how it works! And always proceed with caution when permanently coloring your hair! Oh, and one more thing -- this is the same product, essentially, as the John Freida Go Blonder spray. I've used both and had great results with both, I just use Sun-In because it's about $5 cheaper.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

While I liked how my hair looked color-wise, this product is HORRIBLE for your hair. My hair seriously stopped growing after I started using this product because it made my hair so dry and brittle. I used to have nice long hair, but I had to get it cut medium length because of all the damage. You're spraying peroxide onto your hair so it's going to make it dry and brittle (even if it looks good at first). It's cheap for a reason.

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

-I have used Sun-in for about a year now (I started using it last summer). I have dark brown hair, and I use it right after I wash my hair to lighten it, and after a few uses (about 4-5)it really did lighten my hair about 3 shades or so, which I really like.
The key is to NOT use it every day if you don't want to dry out/damage your hair. This stuff is like a lighter version of bleach. So if you wanted to use this every day, yes your hair would get lighter faster, but it will dry out (my hair stylist noticed it). I would recommend using this maybe once a week at first to get the results a little faster, but then to keep up with it (once you've already seen the results) I would only use it if you feel like it's fading or growing out, so maybe once a month, if that.
I have dark brown hair and this made a huge difference to my hair. I used it a few times last summer and it has grown out, even though some pieces at the top look like highlights which is nice. I plan on getting another bottle to touch up,and will only use it maybe once a week at first.
It did give me a reddish tint to my hair at first, but I still loved it. It's very easy to use, and also, the red tint does go away. It looks more prominent when you use the product more often.
Long review- but thought it might help, especially for those with brunette hair! :)

I don't usually leave product reviews, but I absolutely love this stuff! I have naturally blonde hair and just wanted to lighten my hair a bit without having to dye it and Sun-in did the trick! I have used it a few times over the summer and it has lightened my hair by a few shades. I would definitely recommend Sun-in if you are looking to lighten your hair without using all those smelly chemicals in hair dye!

Comments about Sun In Sun-In Tropical Breeze:

I love Sun In! I wanted to lighten my hair when I got into high school but I wasn't allowed to. My friend introduced me to this my sophomore year (3 years ago) and I've been using it ever since. I had dirty blonde hair and now my hair is very light, but doesn't look like the fake bleach blonde.
At first my hair did look tinted orange which lasted through the summer but I kept using it and it soon turned the light blonde I wanted.
I would definitely suggest using the lemon scented version though over the other versions because it works like 100% better for some reason. The tropical breeze version does smell amazing though.
