Thought this product was great until it ruined my hair in December 2011. It is now April of 2013 and even after seeing a colorist/stylist once per month for the past year and a half, I am STILL dealing with the irreparable damage on a daily basis. What I've gone through is definitely not worth the temporary benefits of this product. It will inevitably ruin your hair, and you'll spend tons of money trying to get it back to where it was

This is a terrific way to lighten your hair! I actually have brown hair. I dyed it way too dark last time and I thought I would have to add some streaks with dye to lighten it. I bought this instead and it is so much better than using chemicals to lighten your hair. It lightened my hair with beautiful natural highlights. I love it! It contains lemon and chamomile which does a really beautiful job.

I have naturally dirty blonde colored hair that lightens in the summer time. I use this every spring to lighten my winter growth. Looks natural, no smell. Way cheaper and less upkeep than highlights.

I started using this product about a year ago and used it until the end of this past summer. It turned my dark blonde hair very blonde and I thought all was peachy keen, until the aftermath.. I have always had very thick long hair (about to my belly button) and my hair is now broken off many inches. I would have been better off getting my hair bleached at the salon! Granted, this product is not meant for intense lightening, but I STRONGLY STRONGLY advise not to use it! It will damage your hair and you will be sorry. I haven't touched my hair with dye or heat since practically September, and my hair still will not stop breaking off and splitting. Worst decision ever

I asked my friend about her lighter hair and she told me this is what she uses. I read reviews before I bought it, and they were mixed it generally good.
I definitely didn't have a problem with the smell like some reviews. It didn't bother me at all. But I only use it on the ends of my hair - I have ombré and I'm trying to get the tips lighter.
Bottle says you'll see a difference in 3-5 uses and my boyfriend said something after the 3rd time I used it, so it must be working!
The only negative is that it dries out your hair, but it IS peroxide after all :)

Use a minimal amount to avoid a nasty, greasy buildup. It takes a couple uses to show results, but it helps turn your hair lighter and it also helped me get some brassiness out of my color!

I used this lightening spray for about 6-8 months. It greatly increased the time between my highlights. Because I have naturally dirty blonde hair, I normally used it primarily on the "part", and it definitely works...
But slowly, I started realizing that the hair around my part seemed dry and crinkled. Then it started breaking off! The hair around my part is so brittle, you can't even comb it without snarls and tangles (my hair has never been like that in my life!) I know it is due to this spray, because the rest of my hair remains undamaged healthy.
After stopping use for about 4 months, I've seen an improvement - Because the hair is so damaged and broken, I can tell exactly where the new growth is. I can tell it's going to take several months and trims to go back to normal. I seriously regret using this product!
They need to warn consumers about possible damage. Seriously.

I am a busy person and do not think to schedule an appointment to color my roots until the have grown out about an inch! With this product, I can lighten my roots until I can get to my stylist.

I've been using this product for at least 9 months. I had professional highlights done in the spring and when the roots were too long to look nice, I stumbled on this stuff. I am a dirty blonde and this looks so natural, my stylist (who has outright laughed at previous home highlight attempts) thought my hair was naturally lighter from time spent by the pool. Works with heat, so it's great for days you ARE going to be out in the sun as it speeds up the process. There is a video on how to use on the John Frieda website, I would encourage anyone to watch first.

I have had no trouble with it drying out my very healthy hair. I use Nexxus shampoo and condition twice a week and it's fine for me.
