The bristles are soft to not irritate the skin, but stiff enough to blend very well. Would be nice to have a cap to protect the brush at the end. Bittersweet, but the liner also stays on really well when you cry after losing an 8.5 year relationship.
Tip: Line and blend one eye at a time or the liner dries and it is harder to blend.

I finally decided, at 28, to invest in some good eye brushes. I usually use my finger and disposable applicators. Understandably I had blending problems so I stayed with two to three shades. This has fantastic control and blending, I can use it to smudge pencil liners as well. It keeps the powder in the brush really well. I don't really use it as a full shade brush though, it's more for smaller areas, at least with powders.

The short, soft bristles of the brush allow for great control and broad usage. This brush can be used to load eyeshadow just at the crease or lash line, or it can be used for all over color. Because of the short bristles, excess shadow doesn't land all over the rest of your face.

I bought this to see if I could get more creative with my "Rehab" Shadow Pencil. Since my eyes are on the smaller side, this brush is slightly too big for me to easily use as a smudger, but before I could only use Rehab as a liner and now, with this brush, I can apply a slightly thicker line and then blend it gradually upward on the lid for slightly more dramatic but still very daytime-friendly look. This brush is also great for applying a heavier layer of any powder eyeshadow around the lashline for more definition, and it also works nicely for blending. I've also used it to apply powder concealer on blemishes and it workes fine, but I do prefer a smaller brush for that.

Other than the size (I wish it were just a touch smaller) my only complaint is that the bristles got a lot softer after I washed it the first time, and I wish the bristles were just a *tiny* bit firmer. That plus a slightly smaller size would give a lot more control as a smudger. But it's still a great brush, and I love my Rehab pencil even more now.
