Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
I wear this product over my moisturizer and under my foundation. It gives your skin a subtle glow without sparkle or shimmer. The first time I used it someone told me how beautiful my skin looked. I ran out and didn't buy it again for several months. The first day I used the second tube, again someone told me how beautiful my skin looked. Needless to say, I won't wait so long to replace it when I run out next time!

Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
I have combination skin and an hour into my day my makeup had disappeared from the oily spots in my skin and the dry spots were really starting to show. The illuminating serum from tarte evens out my skin so I don't have to use a primer or a moisturizer. It does have a little pigmentation and I could see wearing it alone during the summer when I have a tan but right now I apply it with a stippling brush and then set it with a light powder foundation and my skin looks perfect all day.

I use this product as a foundation primer. It's works very well. I tried using it on half my face and I can see and feel the difference in the way my foundation looks and feels!

Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
This is not a bad prooduct. It does add color to your face without making you overly bronzed looking. But I think its to expensive. but btwn samples and other tinted moisturizers I have bought and tried in the past Im keeping this one just because Im tired of searching.

This is my favorite product ever! Moisturizing with a hint of color smooths skin like a primer with a luminous glow. Fantastic product no foundation needed...I always have a spare tube just so I know I won't run out :-)

Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
I normally use a tinited moisturizer instead of foundation. This is a great alternative, gives your skin a healthy glow but has just enough color to cover up pores and uneven skin tones.

Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
It's not bad. I don't really see much of a difference when I apply it. I love it though to wear when I need to run an errand and don't have time/ feel like putting on a full face. Worn underneath foundation, it doesn't feel too heavy which I like. My skin still feels like it is able to breathe. A little goes a long way. Probably will not buy again though.

Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
I have very sensitive skin that tends to be dry the older I get. I was looking for a moisturizing foundation that contained natural ingredients. This serum is wonderful and goes on beautifully. It is moisturizing without being greasy and gives my skin a dewy finish. I would not change a thing about this produce and I hope tarte doesn't either.

Comments about Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Illuminating Serum:
I kind of stumbled onto this product and bought it without really understanding it. That's okay, right?
It's kind of amazing. I use it alone for my "just woke up, wandering out of the house in search of a coffee or bagel" get up, and I use it under BB cream the rest of the time. I also layer some again on top, around the eyes, if I want extra light.
It's sheer and not sparkly, but luminous, like the name sez. Sometimes I wish it had more coverage, but I think that's my old age talking. Getting closer to forty, what's actually happening is that less is more, and I'm kind of letting myself be convinced. I'm writing this review now because I just did my morning walk with only the Illuminating Serum and some lip gloss, and I was getting all kinds of smiles and stares. I don't think I had a chicken wing hanging off my shirt or anything.
I think it really gives you a fresh glow, and that's essentially what you want at any age. I'm done with powder and heaviness. Here's what I've figured out: Do what you can to make your bare skin clear and even. I do regular glycolic peels and things, and those help older skin retain moisture and even out tone.
Now with that good base, I just want to enhance the clarity of my skin and show it off-that's what the Illuminating Serum does. It will not cover blemishes. I don't think it's supposed to. But it highlights and brightens and softens imperfections, and makes me feel like I'm at the beach with a dewy, sun-kissed face. I don't even bother concealing my undereye circles. I just feel like--eh, this is me, with a little boost that makes me feel really confident and glowy.
