Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
Didn't work on my hair. My hair is too thin, slippery.
Pros
- Really Great Concept
Cons
- Slight Design Flaw
Best Uses
Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
I have thick, wavy hair and usually cannot use standard barrettes or other hair fasteners. Funny thing about this item is that it is such a great concept BUT the curved half-loop that comprises the middle part of this U-shaped device is TOO big. Even with all my thick wavy hair, it's almost too loose because that portion is so wide.

Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
I swear these products must be designed for girls with thin, blond ultra straight hair that is all one length. If you have thick hair, curly hair or layered hair, this type of thing NEVER works for me. I had to go online and watch tutorials to try to use and had to modify the directions to make it work at all. Used it once for Halloween and since it was so hard to use, I don't use it anymore at all. I'd rather use a clip and not spend 40 minutes trying to get my hair up.

Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
I read the instructions twice because I did not understand it. When I attempted to do what was pictured it really hurt and was not holding my hair. I ended up with a sore spot on my head because I tried it several times with no luck. I think it might be better on short hair. I like the goody spin pins better. I returned it.

Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
I use this pin to hold my hair up. I have long, thick wavy Filipino hair. I never liked the bulk from the elastics. Once I got used to using this pin (side-to-side as opposed to up-and-down) it works wonderfully. I use two pins for less bulk. You just grab some hair from the outermost layer of the bun and then flip the pin and weave it into the rest of the bun. Hair stays in place for hours without the bulk. Love it, Love it, Love it.

Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
I like the idea and the product looked simple. But, I guess my hair isn't thick enough, or whatever. The device didn't hold my hair, it was visible, and when I tried to move the hoop end up, it pulled my hair and got stuck. Too bad .

Comments about Goody Modern Updo Chignon Pin Brown/Blond:
I love this product so much that I'm writing a review to encourage those who do not find it effective to try using it in a different way. It won't work unless you use it just right, but once you know how, it's super easy. Maybe search YouTube for a tutorial. 1. I twist my hair into a bun (play around with tightness here, I find medium tightness best for me). 2. Hold the pin so that the arch in the middle is closer to your head and the ends of the pin flare away (this is opposite of what most people think). 3. Starting at the lower right point of the bun, shove the pin through the bun diagonally so it comes out the upper left area (you will want to play around with how much hair you "grab" wih the pin in this step). 4. Flip the pin so that the arch angle will curve to your head now. Flip it end to end, not side to side. 5. Shove the pin back down towards the bottom right corner. Done! Hope this helps.
