I have always owned a Chi straightener, when my old one broke I went to Ulta and wanted this one because it said "one pass" and was the most expensive, so it had to be the best. I was wrong, the rubber strips fall right out, no point in even putting them back in. Not one pass, more like a few. I put up with it because idk where I put the receipt, but it just stopped working the other morning after less than a year of having it and I only straighten my hair MAYBE once a month if that. Now it will only turn on if I push in one of the plates, once I stop holding it turns back off so I guess the wiring is messed up. Don't think I'm going to buy Chi's anymore because they are ALL more money than they are worth.

I received this as an early Christmas gift after my old drugstore brand shorted out.

This is without a doubt one of the best hair tools I've ever used. I have very thick, wavy hair and the single-pass straightening really does work. As a result, my styling time is cut in half and my hair still looks great.

The only downside I can think of is that it's heavier than most flat irons I've used.

The rubber strips fall out all the time and it doesn't straighten well without them. The strips fall out 1/2 way through my head of hair and it's to hot to put them back in. I'm so disappointed in this straightener

Worth every penny... Cuts straightening time in half with no damage. Incredible shine, hair lasts longer straight :) I'm in love :)

I bought this straightener because my friend has a Chi and I absolutely love hers. This one is different from hers because it has the silicone strips and all they do if pull your hair. It didn't straighten my hair, it seemed like it didn't get very hot and it just didn't do anything. I thought maybe it was my hair that day so I went to my friend's house and used her original Chi and it worked great! My hair was silky and shiny. I'm taking this one back and getting the original Chi.

It straightened hair really well and made it soft. However, the ion strips fell out several times and the last time I lost it in a hotel and couldn't find it. Returned.

I got it yesterday and used it this morning and I'm in love! I can't believe I'm just now getting one. My hair has never looked so silkey and shiny. It cut my straightening time in half.

I like the way it makes curls but doesn't leave hair shiny
