I like that this is a physical sunscreen, but those can be tricky to use under foundation. This one virtually disappears after applying so no white cast at all.

Comments about Neutrogena Pure & Free Liquid SPF 50:

This is the best physical sunscreen for the face. It's not so thick that it doesn't blend in, like other physical sunscreens. It does leave a very slight hint of white, but under makeup is undetectable. It does have a bit of a funky smell, but since I cannot use other chemical sunscreens it's not enough to deter me.

Disappointed in this product- it left my face flaky. I have found I need to put my moisturizer on first and then the sunscreen- makes no sense.

This is a great daily facial sunscreen. I love that it doesn't leave my face greasy like a beach sunscreen would, and also love that it's a mineral sunscreen. I'm super pale to begin with so the subtle white cast it leaves isn't a big deal to me. It absorbs fairly quickly and is nice and dry afterwards.

My skin is combo, sensitive, and light to medium shade. Was looking for something to alternate with my Shiseido ultimate sunscreen and was hoping this was a budget friendly choice. While it is non-sticky and non-shiny, it is NOT invisible. After cleansing, I layer serum, eye cream, moisturizer, and then put this on top. It is WHITE. If I try to make it more sheer, it ends up being patchy and streaky, so there will be areas of thicker whiteness. Shiseido blends in smoothly, on the other hand. Well, after applying this, I put Porefessional on top, and then ended up with a hot mess. The sunscreen started to clump underneath and ball up. I had to wash my face and start over. I would NOT recommend this if you use a lot of skin products and if you have medium or darker skin tone. I can use this on my neck and then put on bronzer after without much problem.

This is a good, lightweight mineral (titanium & zinc oxide) sunscreen I use for tennis. It is very similar to a Prescriptives product that I really liked but was discontinued. I prefer mineral sunscreen because it doesn't irritate my eyes when I sweat. Since I use for tennis I don't care about the white cast this leaves. It does fade and becomes less noticeable. This does have a slight chemical smell that also fades.

I've tried multiple face spfs. This is the perfect one to try. It's really light with a high spf. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't cause any problems. I will definitely buy this again. It goes on sheer, perfect!

I have sensitive oily/combination skin with rosacea and occasional breakouts.
This is a very effective non-chemical (mineral based) sunscreen with a strong SPF 50. It is fragrance free which is great for sensitive skin. It does leave a slight white cast, however, for a SPF 50 mineral sunscreen it is very light compared to others I have tried and does well under makeup if you give it a few minutes to dry. Much better value and product than the Mac primer with SPF 50 that I had been using. Bottle is also really easy to use. Product comes out of a small extended tip so you get the right amount to use on your face or neck, unlike the usual sunscreen tubes.
