Comments about Hot Tools Dryer Travel Purple #HT1044:

I'm very surprised by any of the reviews that said that this dryer isn't travel-friendly. It is very small and light!! Even the diffuser attachment is very portable! Also, I'm very pleased with how quiet it is - especially compared to my last travel dryer. The only thing that I'd improve is the power of the cool-shot feature. But as a travel dryer, I am very pleased with this item!

Comments about Hot Tools Dryer Travel Purple #HT1044:

I was looking for a new ionic travel hairdryer, and thought I'd found it at ulta.com. It is, as advertised, light weight, but it is too large for a travel dryer. My old travel hairdryer with dual voltage is a quarter of the size of this one. If compact is what you are looking for, this is not for you.

Comments about Hot Tools Dryer Travel Purple #HT1044:

This is a very good travel dryer as it is small, light and packs easily. I really like the concentrator attachment as it leave my hair smoother than without it. In less than 3 weeks I have traveled with it twice and have been very happy.

The only downside and this is common to most travel dryers is that due to the short barrel you have to be careful of getting your hair too hot.

          I would buy this again.

Comments about Hot Tools Dryer Travel Purple #HT1044:

Your hair will get sucked into the vented area of the blow dryer. Once it gets sucked in, you have to rip or cut your hair out! My large Hot Tools blow dryer for home doesn't do that to my hair. This was poorly designed.

Comments about Hot Tools Dryer Travel Purple #HT1044:

The dryer was good, too good at that. I wanted a lightweight dryer that had a cool shot button which this dryer did. It works amazing if you want that sleek look. I was going for a more voluminous look. I have very straight asian hair and wanted more volume at my roots, so this dryer didn't help for that.

I was looking for a good travel dryer that would give me the same results as my Rusk W8less dryer that I use at home. This definitely fits the criteria! It's easy to pack since it folds and doesn't weigh much. I would recommend this dryer without hesitation!

I can't find the switch to change the voltage. There is a flat black circular piece on the handle, but I can't turn it, and there is no indication of the voltage. help! How do I change the voltage? Traveling to Europe.

                  A:

On the handle of the dryer, the part that comes in contact with your palm, there is a black screw that says 125v or 250v and all one does when using it in Europe is to turn the voltage to 250v. This can be done with a flat head screwdriver, a stiff fingernail or even a paperclip to turn it.

How do you use this dryer in Europe? Do you need a converter or a plug adapter? Do you turn the slot on the handle to 220? If so, how do you turn it?

                  A:

One will need a plug adapter depending on the country that one is in. There is a switch that changes the dryer from 125V to 250V on the handle of the dryer that makes it compatible with European standards. That’s how one adjusts the voltage.
