Comments about Hot Tools Dryer Travel Purple #HT1044:

Have short, thick hair, and wanted something light an easy to use. I also did not want to have to have a bulky dryer to pack when I travel, so wanted something that would do double duty. This works great so far, and folds up nicely. It also came with a diffuser, which is something I needed. It is doing the job perfectly for what I need.

Love how light weight this dryer is and still powerful. It smooths my hair with the ionic capability. I dried my hair with this dryer and a round brush and someone at work asked me what kind of straightening iron I use....I didn't! Love how compact it is with dual voltage. It will be coming with me on my business trips to Japan.

Finally found a small dryer that doesn't frizz my hair. There is a difference between high and low (yay). Hot enough but not frying. Start out on high and then low for finishing with a round brush.

            Use for travel.

Things great: folding handle, great air flow, unit is fairly balanced, dries quickly,

Not so great--Wish it were lighter in weight for travel,
Unnecessary extra tools which you pay for,
A little pricey but I like Hot Tools quality (own a HT home hair dryer and several curling irons of different sizes) & assume it is worth the price & will be equally serviceable.

I love this blowdryer. It works great! I mainly use it at home, and switch between the attachments. I also love that I can take it to go. Sometimes I run out of time, and need to throw my styling tools in my bag for work. Most of all, I like that I get to use the hair tools I am used to when traveling: this enables me to do so. Two cons with this dryer: needs a professional length cord, and it would be nice to have heat settings in addition to the speed settings.

No, that is not true. What you'll need to do is to turn the switch on the back of the handle of this dryer from 125V to 250V when in another country and the dryer will work as it does in the U.S.

                    A:

On the handle of the dryer, the part that comes in contact with your palm, there is a black screw that says 125v or 250v and all one does when using it in Europe is to turn the voltage to 250v. This can be done with a flat head screwdriver, a stiff fingernail or even a paperclip to turn it.

                    A:

One will need a plug adapter depending on the country that one is in. There is a switch that changes the dryer from 125V to 250V on the handle of the dryer that makes it compatible with European standards. That’s how one adjusts the voltage.
