A cult fave of beauty insiders for totally effortless contouring.

Why you'll love it:

Define your cheekbones, perfect your nose and sculpt your jawline with this palette of blendable powders in universal shades to match your skin tone.

Redefine yourself:

As the contour experts, Smashbox has you covered. This kits offer step-by-step tips on defining and sculpting every face shape.

Formulated without parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, phthalates & fragrance.

Includes:

  • 3 powders to contour, bronze and highlight
  • Angled contour brush
  • #SHAPEMATTERS insert with how-to's for your face shape

For the nose: Using the contour shade, apply two lines down the sides of your nose, starting near the beginning of your brow and ending at the tip of your nose, and blend, creating shadows for a slimming effect. Remember: Determine how slim you want your nose to be with these lines, so place them accordingly. Using the highlighting shade, accentuate the bridge by applying a thin line from the top to the ball of your nose, and blend; this draws the light to the center of your nose, making it look straighter. To make the nose look less long: Apply the contour shade to the very tip and underneath the tip between your nostrils to add shadows for the illusion of a shorter nose.

For cheeks: Suck in your cheeks to find the perfect hollow from your ear to the corner of your mouth. Using the contour shade, apply along this line and blend upward to create the illusion of sculpted cheeks by creating shadows. Blend upwards to instantly give the illusion of a facelift. Apply blush right above the contoured line - on the apples of your cheeks - to create a naturally-flushed look.

For the jawline: Apply the contour shade underneath your jawline to square off your chin for a more sculpted look.

Comments about Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Kit:

The quality was good, but I did not like this contour kit very much. I have fairly light tan skin and even though the colors look dark, they didn't show up well on my skin at all and didn't even contour as well as a basic bronzer. I prefer my Anastasia contour kit or my Toofaced contour kit much more and will go back to them. I think it's expensive for what you get.

Overly dry product. Very minimally pigmented. Neither the bronzer, contouring or highlighter even showed up on my skin! Highly recommend Smashbox rethink this one!

Comments about Smashbox Step-By-Step Contour Kit:

The Anastasia Beverly Hills creme contour kit is 10 times better than this one. $5 cheaper too. I was extremely disappointed when I began applying the contour below my cheekbones. It does not blend well at all. My face looked very unnatural. Also.. The highlight barely shows up. It was a waste of money the only thing reputable about this kit was the angled contour brush. Was it worth it? No.

I LOVE this kit. I heard about it first from Adele's makeup artist who uses it on her so thought I'd give it a shot. I own probably 20 contour products and this is honestly one of my favorites. Applied with the Nars Ita brush, it is absolutely perfect! Will definitely purchase again.

              • Q:

I love the contour color in the light/medium kit but I don't use the bronzer or the highlighter as they are a bit light for me. The colors in the medium/dark kit are too dark though. Is there a way for me to purchase just the contour color so I don't have to buy the whole kit and throw out 2/3 of it when I run out of the contour?
