I never write reviews but seeming that I've gone through weeks with a face that is literally unpresentable I feel compelled. Ive been a St Ives Apricot Scrub user for at least a decade and it always did well. Now as I got older I was looking for something to keep warding off the acne while taking "preventative measure". So PTR was suggested.

Days 1 and 2- wow my skin perked up! diminished pores and my usually oily Tzone was a nice Matte TZone. Then it all went down hill! by day 5 my skin was so flaky no matter how much I moisturized it that I was embarassed to go to work and had to cake on makeup (I'm a nurse) and that did'nt even help because my make up started peeling away with my poor face. Thats when I tried to moisturize a little more or use the products more sparingly and change up the regimen.
Well by day 7 i had teeny tiny little pimple outbreaks in places I had never had acne before in my life, including the cleft where your jaw and your earline meet.... seriously??? The acne spot treatment(smells terrible) which at first vanished any sign of a pimple on days 1 and 2 now made these pimples big and bulgy and scary like they were ready to RAGE at the next person who looked at them.
By Week 2 I offically had a RACCOON FACE! dark patched around my mouth and eyes from all the discoloration this product caused my face. How embarassing and no amount of makeup could cover that up. Sooo in the garbage this garbage goes! It will take me weeks to recover.
The only thing I can say I liked and is worth keeping is the Glycolic Acid Gel thing but even that riding solo I'll be very cautious with.

I am 31 and still dealing with acne prone skin. With this system, I could see a difference in my skin in 1 day! On day 2, I felt comfortable not wearing cover up/foundation/make up! Only, two tiny cons, which will not prevent me from a future purchase: spot treatment could smell better and the system slightly dried my skin in the upper cheek/near nose area, laugh line area, and around the outer edges of my lips. Chances are good that I will purchase this item again when I run out.

I have suffered from ance breakouts for almost 5 years, I have tried almost everything on the market and this product thus far has really worked for me. The one complaint I have is the smell of spot treater, b/c it contains sulfur it has a slight egggy smell.

Unfortunately this product completely dried out my skin, and left it flaky and dried out for days and days no matter how much moisturizer I used. Exfoliation did not help to get rid of dead skin either. I would characterize myself as having sensitive skin, so I would suggest not using this product if you feel you have sensitive skin.

I have been suffering thru the worst breakout I've had since my teens (and I'm 34). So even though I generally go with the less-is-more approach for my very sensitive skin, I was desperate enough to try something. I love PTR shampoo and conditioner, read the reviews of this and gave it a try. Within 3 applications, my skin was peeling. At 5 days, it was peeling so badly, I couldn't wear makeup. At that point, I stopped and returned it to try something else. Not for me!

I have been using this system for 2 weeks (I use it with the Ulta scrub brush). It has really cleared up my skin, although it can lead to dryness. I would recommend applying a good oil-free moisturizer on top of the acne clearing gel (I do this in the morning, not at night). I noticed a few reviews that mention a bad smell, but I think all of the products smell clean and fresh. I do no think this set was overpriced; I can see it all lasting me a good 5-6 weeks and when it's gone, I will definitely be reordering! I've used MANY different acne treatment systems and have never had such great results. I'm so glad I tried this!

I have bad skin and have used LOTS of products. I decided to buy the sample pack first and see if I liked the products. The matte cream is amazing, I have used it with and without makeup and my face still looks wonderful at the end of the day, no shine. I was using the wash and the cream and got a little dry so I stopped for a few days then alternated products each day, worked great.
