Quit heating after 6 months

By CMG

from Tuscaloosa, AL

Comments about Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer:

I purchased this dryer less than 6 months ago. I wish I had of read the reviews before I spent that much money on a dryer. It just quit blowing hot air all together; only blows COLD. Never would I have dreamed a high dollar dryer would quit in 6 months. What a waste of money!!!

For the money...

By MrsWitz

from Naperville, IL

Comments about Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer:

I've had 2 of these dryers in the last 3 years. Both quit blowing hot air (and I do clean my filter, I don't drop it - i.e., I take good care of it). The first one died before it was a year old, so I got it covered under warranty. The second didn't make it 2 years. When it did blow hot air, it was an okay dryer. It seemed to help calm my fly away hair, was rarely too hot, and was quieter than previous dryers I had owned. However, for the price tag, I would expect it to last longer than 11 to 18 months...$10/mo for a hairdryer seems pricey to me.

I didn't realize how much I love my blow-dryer until I didn't have it!!! I will NEVER go another day without a Chi blow-dryer! I bought one for my daughter so I didn't have to go without one again!! My hair thanked me too!
Just makes my hair less frizzy and more manageable!

Comments about Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer:

Thought this blow dryer would be good for my thick, dry and frizzy hair. It did a good job but not any better than the cheaper blow dryers. Had this about 8 months and went to use it and it only blows cold air. Did some research online and this seems to be common. Tried the "tricks" people online did such as banging the cold air button, throwing it on the ground, etc. and it did not work for me. Waste of money.

Comments about Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer:

This is my second Ultra Chi dryer. The cord on my first dryer frayed and could not be fixed. Had my second dryer 1.5 years and accidently dropped it on the floor and the plastic fan inside broke into several pieces. Cheap, cheap. Love the dryer but will not buy it again for that price and poor quality.

Comments about Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer:

I have curly hair underneath and straight hair on top. Plus I have been coloring my hair for years and have been trying to grow he length so my ends are pretty frizzy and this hair dryer works amazing. It dries my thick hair faster than my other hair dryer that feels stronger. This is the best hair dryer I have ever owned and would recommend it to everyone. I have had this for about a month and still as happy as the first day I've tried it. I don't have any issues with it not having different heat settings except for the cool blast. And I don't have an issues with the locations of the buttons.

                    A:

Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer and Ultra CHI Pop Pink Dryer feature identical features other than the color. Ultra CHI Red Pro Dryer and Ultra CHI Pop Pink Dryer are both 1300 watts, while Miss Universe Professional Dryer is 1800 watts (which means that Miss Universe has more powerful airflow for quicker drying time). All three dryers are ionic, which helps to reduce drying time and to keep hair smooth and shiny.
