I have been using this cleanser for about 10 years now...I have skin that tends to get red from sensitivity and my broken capillaries are more visible. This cleanser is so gentle that my skins doesn't get dried out, itchy or any redder than it is. I never purge from over working my skin and never get breakouts because it is so gentle. It even removes mascara and make up when i use the Demalogica wash cloth. It does not foam and it is a very smooth and effective cleaner.

Super sensitive skin. Irritated by hot water, lots of splashing, and wash cloths. This cleanser rinses so quickly and easily that my skin spends minimal time being rubbed and splashed. Jury is out as to how well it's cleaning my skin but it feels great and I don't start my day all red and blotchy.

This cleanser is gentle but very effective. I wouldn't use anything else. If you need to cleanse your face and no water/sink is available, you can just cleanse and take it off with tissues.
