Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

I had used Bare Essentials for YEARS (pretty much since I started wearing makeup) and never really tried anything else. I went into Ulta to get my usual bare essentials foundation when the sales lady asked if I "loved" it. I said I had been using it forever and it was fine. She took me to the Laura Geller section, threw some makeup on me and I saw what I had been missing out on!

I switched about 6 months ago and will NEVER go back to bare essentials. The Laura Geller foundation is a little more expensive, but covers SO much better and lasts ALL day. The medium shade matches my skin better than any of the bare essentials shades. LOVE IT!

This product has a nice texture and gives some decent coverage. It's easy to kick up too much powder, but once you get used to that it works well. Unfortunately the "Fair" shade is insanely dark--I would call it light-medium to medium. Even "Porcelain" is a little on the dark side for being the lightest shade offered. Also, not for ladies with warm skin. It was way too peachy pink for me, and looked really unnatural as a result. Really too bad.

Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

So I originally received this product in a kit, never really used it, as to I am a faithful BareMinerals original foundation user, however, being a BareMinerals girl, I had to try out the new BareSkin foundation. It was okay, but was lacking in the coverage that I received with the powder version, also it seemed to never really set or dry and my face felt oily, but then I reached for my new unused Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten, in Fair, and applied it over the BareSkin....and OMG, it was foundation heaven... it mattified the liquid, but I didn't lose the luminosity and glow...my skin looked and felt great. I have used this alone, over just a moisturizer and it was too light of coverage for my liking, but still performed great. I definitely recommend this to make a perfect budge-proof finishing touch to a foundation routine.

I use this either alone with Laura's concealer or, if I need bulletproof coverage all day, over her anti-age liquid foundation. Either way, I love the look and feel. It's never streaky of "foundationy" looking. Just makes you look like you have perfect skin. And one compact lasts a LONG time. Yeah, you pay more for Laura Geller products but you get what you pay for.

Comments about Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation:

The Bad: I had to buy this in two colors because I am apparently in between shades. I put the lightest shade on first, Porcelain, (which makes me so white I am literally almost glowing) and then put the second lightest color, Fair, on to balance out my glow-in-the-dark look. Separately, the Porcelain is too light and the Fair is too dark. :( I suppose I could have gone with just the darker color and dealt with it or blended way down into my neck. There are only a handful of shades. I don't really understand that. When I am out of these I will be trying a different brand - maybe the new Bare Minerals compact powder makeup.

The Good: It covers everything. I honestly LOVE this product and if it was in my shade or even a shade reasonably close, I would be a lifelong convert of this brand.

This product does not contain sparkles and is not shiny. Its finish is matte; however, because of its color-correcting swirls of pigment, it works wonderfully to brighten and even your complexion and add a youthful glow.

Use all over face in place of foundation or with your favorite base for an even and healthy glow. Mix with Bronze-N-Brighten to achieve a flawlessly bronzed complexion.

We recommend applying using a large, dense brush like Laura Geller Beauty Retractable Kabuki Brush (Item #: 2218975):

Swirl the brush onto the baked powder, tap off excess, and buff onto the face in circular motions until your desired coverage is achieved.
