This Iron wouldn't curl my hair at all ... I have NEVER had any problems w/ curling or doing anything w/ my hair its very easy to do things w/ and this iron wouldn't curl my hair at all

I have curly hair but I bought this to really make barrel curls and freshin up the ones I have. It works really great, once you get used to it, it's easy to use. The first time was a little awkward but since it has the guiding spires, it makes it better. If you clip the ends right you shouldn't have an issue with straight ends although I do find myself needing to touch them up sometimes. Overall, I love it and use it all the time

Barrel needs to be twice as long for longer hair lengths. I went back to my smaller spiral curling iron. I even read prior reviews before ordering it and thought I could get it to work out for long loose curls, but I don't like the way it turns out

I went to Ulta to get a curling iron, and I picked this one becuase it seemed cheap and easy to use. I now will no longer be purchasing products made by conair, because every product has been a dissapointment. It did not curl the ends of my hair AT ALL and left awful clamp marks. I will be returning this tommorow and purchasing the wand iron by revlon.

I bought this product before reading the reviews and am surprised to see so many disappointed customers. At first I wasn't thrilled with the product, but about half-way through my first use, I realized I wasn't using it correctly. Once I figured it out, my hair had perfect, loose spiral curls (like Kim Kardashian!).

First, clamp the hair about 2 inches from the root and curl. Then, slightly loosen the clamp about 2 more inches and curl to the root again. Continue until you reach the tips of strands. By doing this, you will see the hair wrap between the spirals. After holding the iron for several seconds on the final curl, loosen the clamp and pull the iron out of the hair. Perfect spiral!

Also - the iron always has to twist clock-wise, so on one side, the curls will point toward your face, and on the other, the curls will point away. If your hair is not wrapping neatly between the spirals, you may be twisting the iron in the wrong direction or clamping too much hair.

I already own a smaller spiral iron made by a different company so when I saw this iron by Conair I though it could be a good idea since I really like my smaller iron and my hair is getting longer so it made sense to own a bigger one. Well, I'm very dissapointed cuz it's a piece of junk! It takes forever to heat up and I can't get a good looking curl out of it. I think there's something wrong with the spiral cuz my hair gets stuck in it which doesn't happen with my other spiral iron. I'm definitely taking it back to the store.
